Calling is NOT everything! Folks who say that are in love with their calling. Not saying that's it's not important. I knows guys who are mediocre callers at best but tag out every year because they are good woodsmen first. They understand turkeys, know how to properly scout, set up, and probably the most important thing... they're PATIENT. Arguably, patience could be said to be everything.

In my mind, there’s no downside to being a better caller, and there’s no downside to being a better woodsman. Both are absolutely vital to success. Or you could just sit in a blind with decoys and throw woodsmanship and calling out the window like most people today. haha
