YUP remove res and remove corsair grab res passive which does nothing anyways and give it something useful I BEG haven't res a grab in 2yrs such a trash mechanic to bake into a classes kit even before grab pen passives
Happy you said this because i wasnt too sure how corsairs felt about it, I dont remember corsair grab res being noticeable since the resist cap changes but i didnt know if that was just my pov
yeah even before grab pen passives, i and most corsairs i know would rather have the option to cancel our whale skills early rather then rely on an RNG resist chance to outplay ur opponent after grab pen passives/res cap its just dumb cuz u cant cancel ur whales and ur grab res only works 5-15% of the time even with 150% res

As @goldsteinburg said I can dodge the grabs on my own, succ corsair has an button that I can use to bait grabs, remove the res, give us like an heal or accuracy debuff instead (also make our Ebuff useful, fuck do I need 50% resist on my E buff for)
I don’t know if you remember, gold, but I asked what I should do against block jump on another video. 12:00-12:30 is a mental breakthrough I had whilst learning awk warrior that has made the class feel so much more rewarding.
As a response to the question at the end of the video, personally i like the longer vod type of videos so i dont mind adding random fights like the one with the guardian in this case, more content is always good :)
zerk is only annoying in group fights when you're mid combo and just get peeled by a grab from a zerk who just insta pops up on your screen. does counter grab until that mf is grabbing with 150+ ping now you in the air for 7 seconds. However, he is so punishable in 1v1s so i agree on him being mid, the class just excels in large scale
i remember one night i spent a solid 2 hours trying to teach kythar a simple movement combo on sorc in BA and he never got it down.... buddy is doomed to just always be bad at the game

It's a super fun class and has tons of bait potential or so i'm learning especially in AOS. It's been such a pleasant class to learn and grow along with (if you can stomach the boring grinding) 👍
I was under the same opinion - because of playing a grabless class, I thought resists were needed in order to balance grabs. However, what I didn't realize is that against the classes I struggle the most - Zerker and Striker, grab resists literally doesn't do anything. So I'm only benefiting from grab resists against classes, I already do well against and on top of that, my CCs, most often when I have to recc constantly get resisted. So yeah... f resists. They are pointless against classes they should keep in check and actively nerf everyone else.
5s cd and 7s cd he said, gran has 15s cd, that mean you can use one to dodge the grab and you still have 4 more in rotation before your grab is back off cd
Hello @Goldsteinburg big fan! sorry to say it but at min 7:06 when you fight that guardian and complain about immune to kd you should look at his buff bar and see why that happened since ur a big pvp player.
i'm more than halfway through this vid and i feel like i haven't really seen anyone mention that wizard gets grab resistance (along with every other kind) as a buff. they can also just fuckin PA after baiting a grab but that's another thing entirely. it takes a legitimate monkey to claim he "doesn't use it" when it's an active part of his kit whether he slots res crystals or not, especially when you consider that hooms + that buff and a nouver hits the pvp res cap. in saying that i understand his sentiment to a degree, that getting caught shouldn't result in resistances to follow, but... it's essentially one that entirely rolls over for the current state of pvp and the perma sa meta. of course his logic is that if you get cc'd from anything but a grab that you shouldn't res anything.... it takes about 3 brain cells to rotate sa on a caster. if you're failing at that and get caught........... lmao

Guardian being better than zerk is an actual no brainer. I think awak needs a revamp or something, I might be shit but I’m a dk, fighting that class with no grab is impossible. Class if fully protected with insane damage, long range grab and phat I frames
Complete facts Gold if any of these players played a single competitive game in their life this shit would be second nature. I feel pvp is actually too easy in bdo alot of people suck.
thats the truth... which is how it is in most games, but in bdo the playerbase is so small that the low elo players have to fight higher elo, there isnt enough ROOM to create a gap, and they arent aware of the reality that the gap between bad and good players is INSANELY huge in games.

I agree, resistance should be removed 100% it's make the game not "competitive" by being dependent to rng. and idk why the man really need the grab res that much when grab dependent class has grab penetration passive lol. but I feel like is not the counter to grab, I think is the way to avoid grab, not counter it. since also has animation time. so when we done our animation, the grab fail animation will also most likely ended and the grabber has the chance to go protection again.
yea, i agree about the thing, i guess as a warrior main since our grab has a long miss animation WE can get punished but most other classes such as ranger/tamer have unpunishable miss animations that allow them to freely throw grabs. PA should balance all grabs similarly

NGL, couldn't help but get a dejavu vibe coz of this hahaha How is it someone's narrative when that's just how resists work and therefore implemented for all players ? 🤣 It was a while back, when hash was new and didn't even have awk yet. We were in NW and so we formed up near an enemy fort on the Balenos mountains. I was assisting our frontline with the few ranged skills succ hash has since some of it has CC and debuff, and goes a good distance, which helps our fronters hold the line. The enemy also formed up and started trying to repel us. 2 of our frontliners who both happen to be Guardians got pushed back and both ended up somewhere in front of me, since I wasn't that far from them. I was in block/guard stance in between skills to avoid burning through my kit and not be able to throw down in case they enemy got close. They both tried to reposition by dashing but got bursted when the enemy pushed so they both died. One of them was ours while the other was the GM of an allied guild. For the rest of the war via voice, as well as after, the GM dude was mostly just 'educating' me and even included a lengthy essay (much like this comment, sorry bout that Gold hehe), specifically about the hash Q-block having an "invisible wall" bug that is quite wide and he specifically claimed that it blocks no-collision skills, all of which he confidently declared on discord, for the entire alliance to hear/see. I didn't think much of it at the time and even thanked him for letting me know, since that's pretty important info, specially if PA forgets to fix it, as well as if I'm gonna main the class. I then started to do some research on whether some of the NA/EU streamers who've also gotten into hash has mentioned this, and also made sure to try to look for any Korean streamers like Bloo and such, since the class was relatively new, so they'd prolly know more than the rest of us. Guess what... I couldn't find anything on it 😂 I instead asked my guildies to help me out in order to find out for ourselves and gauge how wide that "wall" was, with my 3-5 guildmates literally swapping through almost all of their characters, not just their guardians, to test out all the no-collision skills they could find, while I just stood in block stance, while in a party, while not in a party, during a duel, in town arena, in BA, etc. After a couple of days or so, I ended up just asking that allied GM for more info coz I couldn't find any about it and I also let him know that we were unable to replicate that wall bug, despite how much he explained it. I told him I needed to know coz I was kinda into hash that time, so I really wanted to know how wide that "wall" is, to help me estimate/adjust my positioning in team fights, moving forward. Lo and behold, he then tells me it wasn't really about the block bug, but instead was about positioning, more than anything else. 🤣 That's when it clicked in my brain, and I realized that his ego was just that brittle. I didn't try to roast him on the alliance discord and just told my guildies for us to just laugh it off and keep it between ourselves since we got along with his members. It was for naught tho, coz the alliance ultimately broke down the following month or so, coz he tried to pull similar crap on the other guilds in the alliance.

Grabs are a read, he really saying you should get punished for making a read. Arguement for resist being in the game are all fucking jokes. No other way to say it. At the very least, all grabs that get resisted should immediately be SA. Removing pvp resist tho is 10x a better way to go about it. For example Ninja grab does a whole ass animation on resist where he does a backflip. Consequently, you aren't only getting potentially punished for missing/resist the grab but they have a longer window BECAUSE of the resist. The animation is fully unprotected and cant even properly out of it.
I'm sorry Kythar but yeah this arguement was being made by a person who uses the most broken 200% (Succ Zerker) in the game a skill capable of killing 20-50 people and he gets 1 or 2 or completely wiffs it.
I have x2 ignore grab and x2 ignore kd cause the game is a continuous RNG in pvp. I try to reduce that by crystals but.. sadly is not 0. Btw grab is only broken vs new people or people that doesnt know how to bait that grabs.
The game is just rng to the point it will bail people out. I have so many clips of me grabbing someone then mid slam animation I'm getting cc'd by the same guy. 😂😂
I don't think grab resists should be removed. But, I don't use them cause I don't pvp unless people push my spot.... btw... I divert all my pvp warrior recommendatiosn to you and am just here to troll...
the first time i say it that was the range, when i repeated it i didnt relize i stepped further away, ill upload the vid soon its 2x ranger grab range - i didnt realize warrior was as far as his is either until i tested them all, wariror was grabbing almost as far as woke hash lmao
Most grab classes have bad catches compared to the grab unprotected cc fighting full sa classes. If you don't grab, you are trolling. It being a 2.0 is a horrible take they will literally just stand up immune to cc smh.

For a community who love to abuse FoTM, and ALWAYS complain about Awk Zerk being broken, I sure don't see many people on him. Don't get me wrong there are way worse classes, but he isn't nearly as good as people cry about. Not many understand it's a very difficult class with very minimal protections, not much protected dmg (Most are FGs which will get you killed you in any large fight) and lots of openings when using our big burst skills. Can't wait to watch this when it goes live homie~
Awake zerk is in the same boat as succ ninja. It's fast and high APM so if the person is very comfortable and skilled with the class, the opponent has a hard time being reactive. The visual information they have on the opponent ninja/zerk isn't in sync with where the person actually is. The other side of that is that both classes are SUPER gappy and get caught in the middle of movement all the time.
People dont use awaken zerker that much because the class is way too fkin hard and not as rewarding as something like drak, but its dumb to say that the class is weak or mid, the class is definitely strong in the right hands but I wouldn't say game breaking broken like drak.
