Jack, looks like you’re getting a reaction. I’ve been searched on linked in by the dept of premier & cabinet for WA. My only link to WA is watching your channel. Good Luck from the Uk, we’ve got our own political FUBAR to deal with👍
As a conservative American I stand with you in your fight ,the fight is real it's happening here also we have had Farms burned out and in some cases blown up and the government does nothing which tells me the government is involved in killing off out food supply
We all really appreciate your commitment to the facts, to sustainable practices and to the welfare of both the people and the livestock. You're fighting the good fight.
Over here in Europe a campaign has been going on for years that farmers are damaging nature and the enviroment. Around 20'000 family runned farms have closed in the last 20 years. Considering the size of Switzerland, that is a lot. Selfsufficiency is under 50% now. All the rest of the food gets importet. Don't let that happen in Australia
Can exports be done where government don’t control it, can it be done privately between the broker representing the farmer and buyer who organizes transportation Private port where it’s shut off from the public just like mining ports, grain terminals, csbp Remove political corruption and make live animals transport a private business
It is quite possible that many of the people currently protesting the treatment of Palestinians also support the ban on Australia's export of live animals, so they want them to live in peace but also support denying them and many other Middle Eastern people an essential supply of animals not only for food but for religious and cultural ceremonies
The ABC went on the Al Messilah (converted car carrier) on a voyage to Kuwait, UAE and Oman. On their youtube "What it's like onboard a live export ship" | ABC News (June 2023 - 12 minutes) Covers most aspects, post-trucking drafting animals at the port, on-board feed and watering, role of the onboard veterinarian and stock manager, crew duties. Onboard conditions on the decks. Looks like a big improvement on earlier times. The other historical video I would recommend, though the accompanying slides are not shown. 2/26/18 - Lynn Simpson "A Veterinarian's Perspective of the Live Animal Export Trade" (feb 2018 at Harvard, USA law school)45 minutes. Mainly about the aspects of being an Australian whistleblower.
EXACTLY WERE ARE THE PROTESTERS WHEN THE LIVESTOCK ARE STANDING UNDER A TREE IN THE OUTBACK IN 45 HEAT OR WHEN ITS POURING WITH RAIN OR THE TRUCK RIDE DOWN TO PERTH 😂 NONE 🖕 BUT THEY CARRY ON ABOUT THEM SHIPPED OUT ON FULLY VENTED SHIPS WITH WATER AND FEED LOOKED AFTER BY VETS 🤷♂️
What proof are you asking for? Proof that the camels are causing a problem in the native Australian environment? Proof that there is a viable business opportunity in farming camels? Not inciting an argument, just interested in what you want more proof of to better understand your comment. Peace
