Socialy anxiety is complex. I'm scared of phones, calling someone and stuff is a nightmare for me. But i also was singing in choir for many years in front of people and it wasn't that bad

I can’t call people too but even though I have grade 8 diploma in singing, I still can’t sing to more then three person. I am also one of the best violinist and pianist at my school but I can’t perform in front of people. Social anxiety works different for everyone and mine is ruining my life!

​@Hellequin Maskharat I used to work as a CSR in the USA in a "right to work" state (meaning that you can quit or be fired with or without a reason), so almost no workers protections aside from unlawful discrimination against protected classes. I had plenty of pervs call up just to be...pervy...yuck. It's an awful job. You can't hang up on them, and it stinks because creeps drag out your call time length, and you'd get in deep trouble if you transferred them to someone else, lol! You have to be the public's punching bag. x_x It would not be the CSR's fault if someone prank calls them (it happens ALL the time anyway...), it'd be a fast call (probably under a minute), and I'd hope 2set would leave a 5-star review if they had a survey sent to them. They also hopefully wouldn't be re-calling the same call center, so no immediate call-back points lost, either. The only way I can see it going wrong is if the CSR has a meltdown from the call and is audited during it. If the CSR handles it well and it's audited, they'd most likely be praised for handling such a weird call so well, lol. From my experiences, I don't think it could go very wrong, but different countries have different practices. ^^

Considering they are from Australia it would be fine to call the call centres. Australia has amazing protection for employees, but also, call centres here are pretty chill with this kind of thing. Guys, if you do this again, try 13 10 10. The insurance call centre could do with a good laugh.

Lol this would be a great idea! Yes companies grade CSR for how they handle the call but they do understand that there is always that customer that prank calls. In my experience we don’t get penalized for hanging up on non work related calls or inappropriate calls. If we do get graded and handle the call like we should then it’s all good. Some companies even give the CSR the right to hang up the call as soon as the customer is assisted.

@@carvine1428 My Mom knows me pretty well, she would leave a voicemail. Robocalls are really bad here in the states, which is why I dont answer numbers I don't know. I get calls at least once a day from numbers I dont know and they never leave voicemails and they never call from that same number again. I have even gotten calls from myself once...yes a call from my own phone number. So, that is why I don't answer them. Also, I talk to my Mom every day and I have a big family. If something happens I would know, someone would be able to get me on the phone. I live on the other side of the country from my entire family and they have managed to keep me updated through health scares and accidents.
