As a growing number of Democrats call for President Joe Biden to bow out of the 2024 presidential race, the president himself insists he’ll keep going. The issue leaves Democrats at a tipping point just days before the GOP Convention.
A suspected attack by Yemen’s Houthi rebels has targeted a ship in the Gulf of Aden. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center says the captain of the ship reported an explosion near the vessel off the coast of Yemen. The ship and crew are reported safe.
And Republicans approved former President Donald Trump’s party platform, dropping the GOP’s 40-year commitment to a federal ban on abortion.
