Calls for Mayor Gwamanda to resign immediately 

The Johannesburg Crisis Alliance says it believes there's a leadership crisis in the city of Johannesburg and has therefore called for Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda's immediate resignation. The Alliance handed over its memorandum to the city's Speaker of Council, demanding the fundamental restructuring of the mayoral committee that will represent the interests of the residents of the city. This, following a peaceful protest at the Johannesburg Metro Centre this morning.
