@@CallumBeattieLive I have only recently discovered your music, and safe to say it's pretty much all I listen to while working from home at the moment. Absolutely amazing. I usually stream music, but I will be making a point in purchasing your album from your website.
Just heard this on the radio for the first time. What a great song! I know Salamander street well. So it's quite a touching story knowing what goes on there. Defo deserves to be a huge hit!
@@victoriawardrope9843 think you need to read my comment again. I didn't say what you implied. I said I know it well. And it's a touching story in the song because of the fact that I know what goes on there. It's no competition who knew sooner. But I think I may be alot older than you?
Callum Beattie hopefully not much longer until we can all see you perform live m8, I for one will be one of the 1st in line, your live shows look brilliant, you leave it all on the stage, top performer👍👏🏻
As a kid who passed his driving test in the mid 90s n tearing up down the shore I always thought it was a laugh seeing these girls (I never spoke to or stopped ever) years later hearing this makes you think, what a shitty world we live in! Amazing song!!
@@aurorasoftedi8749 in all fairness mate i don`t think people know the history of the street and the point of the song and this guy deserves a lot more credit as he is top class
I remember one night, driving home from Newcraighall up Salamander St - gorgeous young lass' stood there freezing. We stopped to see if she was ok. thinking 'she really shouldn't be out here on her tod' - she said "please move on guys, I'm ok but I'll get in trouble from my boss" (pimp) Never until that point in my live, had I ever felt heart sorry for someone - that was over 20 years ago and still think about it to this day.
Can't get enough of this guy and this song, his voice echos Kelly Jones Stereophonics, hes obviously a fan, who isn't. Great work by a local lad from Edinburgh, im from Fife so well done to an up and coming star. Crackin tune 🎵👍
I love stereophonics seen them so many times I heard this song on the radio and thought they had brought out a new song. Sounds so like Kelly great song Callum 💓💓
What a brilliant voice and great songs. I had never heard of Callum before until I saw him on the stv news talking about helping the wee boy with cancer. Respect to him for all he's doing ❤👍
It was my daughters 18th birthday in the bonny highlands of inverness and this beautiful man had the time to send my daughter a personnel message from the pub wishing her a happy birthday and 18th nothing but a legend gentleman beautiful human being God bless you xxxx xxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 😍❤️😎😂🙏
@@stevenboswell7536 oops, only heard him the first time a couple of weeks ago and the DJ on radio said he was from Glasgow, my bad.Nevertheless he's brilliant 👏 👌.
I remember seeing Salamander St once when I went to Edinburgh , It is a dark eerie sad place of very low vibration. Very close to a huge magnificent gleaming new government office building. This song is heartbreaking cos these girls on the street are someone’s daughter, many from broken homes or no homes and they really have nobody. They deserve only Gods love. They never chose this existence. If I was rich I’d buy a big building in Edinburgh, turn it into rooms, and give them a safe warm home, 3 hot meals a day, and all the love support and help they need get training, a job and the life they deserve. The song is powerful on so many levels.
I don't listen to radio much and don't follow the charts......but today I was lucky enough to hear this song on my local fife scotland radio station and HAD to find out who was singing. Believe it or not, in this one song Callums voice reminded me of Josh Todd from Buckcherry. Anyway, I do hope he takes that as a compliment as it was meant to be. Delighted to have discovered this song and looking forward to hearing the album.
❤ this song, I'm not proud of what I'm going to type here but unfortunately I was one of those girls who worked on salamander street in Leith Edinburgh,I have good n bad memories, but to every woman who is getting ready to go down there tonight please be safe,I know how soul destroying this job is but always remember to stay true to u n that this job never takes your dignity or ur true self from u❤ to u strong beautiful woman n always thinking of uz❤ Laura Weddell xxxx ❤❤❤❤❤
He sounds so much like Kelly Jones Stereophonics that's who I thought it was when first heard this 🤗🤗Love Stereophonics and now love Callum Beattie 🤗🤗🤩
