I think Callum’s reluctance to use dark magic is in direct conflict with his want to get back together with Rayla. Ever time he’s forced to use dark magic he becomes easier for Aaravos to control. Callum is dangerous if Aaravos gets control over him. He’s a mage that can use dark magic and has a connection to two primal forces. If he gets close with Rayla again, it also makes her target number one

I will say this if Callum used dark magic or any sky magic when he saw Rayla in pain he would've killed Finnegrin because he was in so much rage but seriously I think he gets it from Amaya anyway great edit.

Wait. When you do dark magic for the first time, you choose whether you will do it again or not. Callum chose not to, but if he did it just now, what if it does something to him somehow? Just a theory, I guess we’ll find out in season 6 or 7
I think the stronger the dark magic spell the her hair turns white that or the strain of using dark/black magic is causing her hair to turn white it's probably one of the 2⃣ ❤
I’m just gonna mention Callum new how to do my dark magic when Finnegan wanted to know the spell to kill the arch dragon of the sea he knew how to do it and the fact that he did the chains flawlessly maybe there’s a lot more too Callum then we know
I hadn't even thought about that. I think the new season insisted on making it clear that Callum is no longer dark, but I believe there will be a twist regarding him
@colors5234 before rayla escaping from the hand cuffs , there is a scene where Callum is holding the same creature It was given to him to do dark magic by finnegrin He must have kept it and used it *Maybe*

I think Callum will have to use dark magic again to help his friends and would you know get tainted facd and, assuming he is released, K'par would assure him he did the right thing, since it was the only solution and he used it solely for someone elses benefit, and that, unlike Viren he is afraid of the cost and consequences of using dark magic. And then pointing out to everyone that dark magic comes from death, and death is part of nature. Thus dark magic is not unnatural and, though often misused, can be used for good as long as it is used wisely and selflessly. This would all cause Callum to accept dark magic and use it as a game-changer in his final clash with Aaravos.
My girlie wanted to die instead for callum making dark magic, BUT ALSO said that she will kill him if aaravos controls him ever again, I love callum so much I so I do rayla but a spell of dark magic wouldn’t be worth raylas life
