this reminds me so much of my childhood at my grandparent's farm. Used to watch beautiful storm clouds approaching during dusk, and the warm breeze on my little face, with cold hints, smelling rain. Beautiful.
How beautiful... I live out on a farm in rural sw Illinois. My main passion is storm watching. To feel the power of mother nature.. That exhilarating feeling when the front finally comes in with wind gusts so strong & thunder so loud it shakes your entire soul... Then the rain seems to wash away all your worries.. I live for that.
This exact moment as a storm is approaching is my favourite feeling ever. Even your description of a 'balmy' wind... I knew this would be good! The increasing, warm wind, the rumble in the distance, the sound of nature preparing, the electricity in the air.. it's so calming for me. Thank you for this!
I'm so glad you like it! There is also a 12 hour sleep version of this one on my channel (same audio, just for longer and no animations and a darker screen). :)
This really is perfect! Not loud on the rain, a nice storm wind coming on, and the low rumble of thunder...nice depth. Reminds me of days in Oklahoma. All it needs are tree frogs!
I love the sounds and perspective on this - I can imagine I'm sat with my back resting against an huge old tree, sheltered and peaceful, watching the storm roll in. Just lovely.
I see myself with a van that has a tiny room with a bed in the back with a tarp extension to cover the rain and the back doors open so that I can feel the wind and some rain. Ahhh man, it goes so well with the fan in my room too.
All humans were supposed to grow up in the country my friend. We did for our first 2 million 990 thousand years but we've gone progressively astray ever since someone figured out how to grow more food than needed.
@@aymanemach One dream specifically that this video touched on was when I was standing amongst rolling green hills with thunderclouds echoing in the distance. The rain was pattering on my shoulders softly as I stood in the stillness. I remember it to be something incredibly meaningful even to this day
@@Duster217 i had a similar dream when it comes to landscape. But it wasn't raining. However, there were giant white wolves running around in vast openness of the green hills, and they would chase me if they noticed me. Your could say mine was a nightmare, but yours is a very beautiful dream and indeed sounds very meaningful and powerful
@@aymanemach I think these dreams mean something in my life, perhaps even for you. I’ve spent so much time trying to think of ways. I always thought I was alone in thinking that I had these experiences. Thanks for sharing
I know exactly that kind of scene in real life. A relaxing summer late evening that suddenly becomes chaotic, but in a good way. The smell, the energy... everything becomes alive, and we become so small.
@@balmycove Btw, I don't know if you are familiar with survival horror games and the concept of "save rooms", but if you ever feel like collaborating, get in touch!

I LOVE this kind of weather. This exact moment when the stormy clouds are approaching, the smell of petrichor wafting through the wind, the sound of distant thunder... So perfect. I love it.
Fell asleep while listening to this last night and had one of the most restful nights of sleep ever. I woke up this morning with more energy than I know what to do with. Thanks for posting. This channel is a godsend!
I always dream of this. It is dusk and storm about to come. Living alone in quiet serene rural area. Before entering home, do a final rounding outside the house and check everything in place, secure and lock. Park the car into garage, garden tools into the shed, pet dog/cat is inside the home and keep the hanging cloths. Before entering the house, turn around a look into horizon, enjoy the view of coming dark scary storm, feel the breeze and take a deep breath. Do the rounding inside the house, doors and windows shut and lock and ready some emergency equipment. Everything is quiet for now. Boil some water and prepare tea/coffee and lit up the fireplace. Dog/cat on the couch, blanket on them. Turn on some dim light, put the smartphone away and do what you like the most. Reading/writing, working on hobby, crafting, listening to horror podcast, watching horror movie and so on.
Absolutely beautiful storytelling of the scene. You have a talent! Sounds like absolute bliss - the perfect way to spend an evening. I wish the storm was always coming and never arrived, sometimes.
the few hours in real life that rural people hade time for hobbies that not where practical , when nature declared you best have a prepared den to hunker down inside of or flying branches , hail or downpours soon teach everything why its best to respect mother natures raw forces as they rippled through her causing mighty storms over her hide , at best.. and those not heeding that respect often learning it at lethal expense when the farmers could do little but sit in lamp light and carve wood pieces , or fix small things feeling the storm tug and pull in the house and barn ,waiting for it to pass so they could cheek what might been torn up or smashed as it roared
No words can describe how much I love this kind of weather . when I was a kid We would be out flying our paper airplanes in the increasing wind only to run home when the rain started falling. Now as I get older, it just reminds me of pre- battle medieval atmosphere. This video captures all of that and I will definitely use it in my writing sessions. Thank you for making this.
Great sound mixing!! Nothing is over powering and it sounds authentic! Like i could actually imagine closing my eyes somewhere and hearing these exact sounds which a lot of ambience videos don't replicate very well. Subscribed 😊
People always think I'm weird for thinking a thunderstorm is exciting but I've always loved them. Even something as terrible as a hurricane i find awesome and thrilling
Well done. I can practically feel the air pressure changing. That odd smell in the wind of moisture from far off, now here. The rumble of thunder reminding you this storm is not gentle, merely distant.
Finally... that scape I can never describe to people but is my favorite thing to experience. Something about it still being bright and beautiful outside, but the darkness is looming overhead and the rain is slowly approaching. It's otherworldly. Thank you so much
This reminds me of my childhood days, here in India every place is awesome with people walking in streets, a usual day with busy shops, honking rickshaws, street sellers, gossiping aunties, children running and laughing, then in mid afternoon suddenly weather changes and a cold breeze blows with calming atmosphere all around, the windows of apartments being filled with moms and children watching out the transposing climate. And as people whisper out to each other then comes the fall of soft droplets of rain one after another from that aesthetic blue-grey sky which softly lands on the roads. Right after that cold breeze the smell of mud and echoing thunders light up the ambience with exciting but also relaxing vibe. As one walks the streets, with every step the downpour increases making a satisfying noice on the holding umbrella. All this feels so nice, some experiences make memories so sweet, and I'm blessed to experience them.☺
I just listened to all three hours of this while writing and was surprised when it ended. This was the most accurate and unique natural ambience I have ever heard, and the visual was perfect! It gave me some of the most beautiful setting descriptions for my story and I am very grateful for the inspiration. I'm going to hit repeat and listen to this for another three hours
This is gorgeous on every level ❤ I've tried so many thunder clips to help me sleep and none come close to this! Sounds very like the summer storms we get here in Australia 🇦🇺 thank you!
Thanks again Stacey, I live and create from Australia :) The only storms we've gotten so far where we live have been pretty sudden and extreme, so I am missing the gentle brewing of ones like these.
This one is my jam!! The background reminds me of the hurricanes in Florida, but the scenery from the countryside of Georgia. Both places I call home. The sound of wind, thunder, and rain makes the storm feels happen.
Sometimes its hard for us to realize how crazy amazing it is to be a human here on earth. Im sorry for the lives that never got to expirience the beautiful things in it. Be thankful and be kind, respect our home we call earth, live in peace in this world of bad men. Teach others to be kind, enjoy food and earths gifts to you. Feel the rain feel the sun. Touch the dirt and water. Hug someone you love, tell them you love them. Life is so short, and becoming old is a huge privilege. After this who knows, but you will never be on this earth as you are here right now, ever again. God bless ❤ smell the rain?
We recently had some big storms blow through, and it sounded almost just like this, with the wind picking up something crazy and the distant thunder rolling in. And then when the rain finally broke, it was so satisfying. Love this kind of weather.
The little boy was playing in the yard when the rain suddenly started. He ran inside, looking out the window, disappointed that he couldn’t continue his game. His mother came over, hugged him, and said, “After the rain, a rainbow will appear.” The boy didn’t understand, but when the rain stopped, he saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky. His mother smiled and explained that life is like that too-after the hardships, there will always be something beautiful waiting.
I love this! It brings back such pleasant memories of those bucolic, stormy afternoons I so enjoyed as a child living with my grandparents in the countryside. When the wind started blowing through the tree tops, Grandpa would say it was the trees whispering to each other, and when we heard a prolonged rumble of thunder, he would say it was the great corn wagon rolling across the sky. ⛈❤
Oh man, random bouts of grief when you're doing seemingly unrelated things is so real and valid. My Nana who I loved more than anyone in my life has been gone for 3 years, and I still cry about her. The feeling grief always stays the same strength, but you just get hit with it less often over time.
Thank you for providing this healing sound. For those reading this, I just want to let you know that everything is going to be okay. If you are going through a difficult time right now, it is only temporary and you can remind yourself that there are many good and comfortable days ahead. I wish you all the best, love and strength. Listen to this magical natural sound. Good night!

this is delightfully accurate. i can close my eyes and if i focus just enough i can almost smell the rain and feel the cool breeze that tickles my skin as i lay in the grass. thank you.
Living in the mountains, away from city and it's noise, sometimes looking out of my small wooden house and seeing clouds are coming, so I need to grab some wood pieces for the fireplace from outside. Making a tea and sitting on my chair and looking out of the window next to the fireplace. The window is open so I can feel the fresh breeze and hear the thunderstorm more clear :)
I just want to remind you that it's perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed by life's pressures. We all go through these valleys, and feeling this way doesn’t mean you’re failing-it means you're human and deeply in tune with your journey. Remember, it's not about avoiding the storms, but learning to find peace even in their midst. You’re not alone in this. Whenever you need a shoulder to lean on or someone to listen, I'm here. Hang in there, and take it one breath at a time. You are stronger than you know, and this too shall pass. 💖
My favorite kind of weather!!! If I listen to this with my earphones, no matter how sunny and hot and blue is out there right now, it is dark, stormy, and smells wonderful to me.
This has many things that make it unique from the more well known channels. It has depth, and the sounds change to the ppiint where it really sounds like the calm before the storm. The wind. And then the storm ACTUALLY approaches you the real rain starts and then youre IN the storm. It has a progressive theme to it. The whole of an experience. These are.the only ones i listen to now. And ive been listening to rain sounds for many years. This is the upgraded evolution of all the ones that came before it. This is the next level. I can see many many more nights with this channel.
Hey there! Amidst the lively cascade of comments, my little note might seem like a drop in the ocean. But if you're reading this, it's definitely not by accident. Cheer up, because there's a special message tucked away right here just for you. In the face of life's ups and downs, remember to tap into your inner well of strength and bounce-back-ability. You've got this!
This is exactly the calm, soothing atmosphere I needed! The distant thunder combined with the warm, breezy sounds really sets the perfect mood for relaxation. Can’t wait to unwind to this for the next few hours. 🌩✨
Reminds me of my summer job as a wildland firefighter last summer. Sitting on a hill building sandbags with the boys in this beautiful underrated weather prepping for a rainstorm and possible flooding....
This stormy breeze ambiance feels so genuinely real and perfect, I can practically smell the ozone, crisp wind and approaching rain through my phone screen! I have a hard time finding ambiances that manage to relax me, but this one made me feel content and cozy the second I put in on, which is a big accomplishment on your part! Amazing work, you did such a wonderful job on this video!! Thank you for sharing this with us, and pretty please never delete this or I’ll cry 😭💗🙌
Thank you so much! I don’t plan on deleting of course but if you want to be sure to own it forever you can download it on iTunes - I’ve only just got some tracks published there this week so go and take a look 😊 Thanks for your support!
I'm listing to this with classical music in the background on spotify whilst I work...This is truly a wonderful feeling that we all should experience. Thank you.
Just made my day. Wife and I work together in an office and we only have 30mins for a shared lunch break. Just cozied in the car, taking a quick nap in the parking garage, with these rain sounds going put us both at ease and feeling comfy. Electric car so I had the ac just right and this playing. Ready for the rest of our day now. thank you. ❤
Thank you! I'm so glad it helps you fall asleep. I am aiming to bring out a longer version of this, this year, so that people can listen all night if they want to.
I love the image in the background. The mood was perfect and it fit the vibe. It was like i was actually there. Thank you for a relaxing journey as i sleep.🎉❤😊
I’ve always been kinda picky about rain and thunder sounds (mostly bc a lot don’t sound realistic or calming to me), and I’ve never found one as good as this one😃 Hits all the right points and very calming. On my speakers a little further away and lower volume, it really feels like it’s happening outside. Thanks for your channel, you have a new subscriber❤
Nothing in nature compares to a tornado. When you've seen one up close it looks like it's a living creature. You are amazed by his delicate violence, his insatiable appetite, his roaring intensity, his uncontrollable fury.
A beautiful view that combines the beauty and majesty of nature with the sound of rain and thunder. A wonderful painting created by God. Always remember that tomorrow will be more beautiful
Thank you so much, this is beautiful. I don't know whether you find meaning in your work, but you're helping me get through college with some semblance of peace. Thank you.
I believe rain storms bring peace on a spiritual level. They renew more than the land and air. Through thousands of years an approaching storm meant life. How many of our ansestors livelihood or lives themselves depended on rain storms at some point? For me a storm renews my mind as well. Ive had anxiety issues and depression through my life and the sound and sight of an approaching storm front melts anxiety away better than any medication.
the imagery appears to seem somewhat alive as if your really there, it puts you into the scene, gotta say i love this also i love rain and light thunder
Balmy Cove, your videos bring me peace of mind after long hours on the halls as a nurse. Thank you. I gave a few bucks earlier, but consider this ten dollars me buying you an adult drink to enjoy. Cheers. And keep creating. It is the little details that matter most to those of us who know the meaning of discernment. ❤
Aw thank you so much! It is very much appreciated 🥹 I had a frustrating day or two wrangling a render I was almost ready to publish but not happy with, so I’ve decided to go back to the drawing board! Encouragement like yours keeps me going! I’m glad to hear my videos bring you some peace. Nursing is an extremely demanding and admirable profession!
Bro I was watching a normal RU-vid video and I somehow woke up with this in front of me. I was so relaxed but confused when I woke up, but I instantly fell back asleep because it was so calming.
Haha, same! I was watching a cruise travel channel I watch with my headphones on and fell asleep but thankfully woke to this. I never fall asleep with headphones on, but I’m so glad I did! What a beautiful video. 😊 Hope you’re still enjoying it! 😁🌷
I just found this video and I haven't seen the original yet that is mentioned in the intro, but I just wanted to say this is so so perfect! I love this kind of weather and I'm beyond delighted to have found a scene I can watch endlessly. The sound is perfect, the light is perfect, the sky, all of it! Beautiful!
Aw thanks so much! Yes, the 'remastered sleep' version is not as visually good, but the sound mix is superior, in my opinion (and goes for 12 hours!) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nemk-SaDX64.html
