Hello sweet friends!
This weeks video is a calm and cozy one where I address my biggest issue with our kitchen. Counter space! I can't wait to show y'all how I added a little extra counterspace (and drawer space too!) without spending a dime. Except for the casters! I love how it adds even more European Farmhouse charm to our kitchen and its easy to move it out of the way if we need to. It's the best of form and function!!

You did such a beautiful job on the table! It really looks like a rustic piece from a European farmhouse! It’s amazing what a little sanding (or in your case, a lot🤣) and stain will do! I absolutely love how it looks in your kitchen!💜

I love your sweet kitchen island. I’m feeling inspired to recreate a small little primitive table that my grandparents had in their tiny little cottage. I would love to have a small narrow island work space like yours. I love the rolling casters too.

Oh you definitely should!! I still love ours! My husband not so much when he is the one cooking…but with the casters it’s easy to just roll into the dining room. ❤️

Thank you so much!!! You know I thought about the locking casters after I did this video, but so far we haven’t had an issue with rolling around. I think the grout lines in the tile help to hold it steady. Thank you so much for watching!

Hi Carin! What a great job you did on the “island” table! Isn’t it funny that sometimes it takes so long to realize that moving or refurbishing a piece will work in an area we hadn’t thought about. It really adds the French country look to your kitchen and adds even more warmth. You have really added the perfect pieces and accessories to achieve the look and usefulness you want. Yes!! I walked past the table in the garage every day for nearly 2 years and it never even occurred to me to use it as an island in this house. But it’s perfect! My mind is exhausting sometimes…especially this time of year. 😂 There is something about the “ber” months that gets my creative juices flowing! I’m so excited for all the fall decorating! Carin!! How fabulous! I can’t believe the paint came off as easily as it did! Gel satin is my favorite stain to use, it’s the best! Watching you sand was very satisfying!! That table is beautiful, I love the the legs on it! You did beautiful refinishing it! The pulls look just like ones my grandma had on one of her cabinets so I course I’m loving those! It’s so fun to tune in each week and see what you’re doing! You have a wonderful channel! ❤❤
