This plants belong to family Asclepiadaceae, an angiospermic family. The habitat of this plant is shrub reaching height from 4-8 feet. Celotropis is originated from Greek word meaning calos beautiful and tropos mean keel. The word procera is taken from larin word cera meaning waxy Leaves are simple and with decussate arrangement. Stem is semi herbaceous and used as fuel. The root is tap root that is 4 meter deep spread in soil. Inflorescence is racemose with pentamerous flower containing five petals, five stamen and single carpal. The apical portion of petal and stamen is in purple 🟣 color The fruit of this plant is in green color with Black seeds containing silk fibers. These fibers help the seeds in their dispersal.
