Looking great I'm building a 61 sedan falcon. a/k /a "LIL VIXEN" I'm narrowing a 9" rear and was hopeing you could tell me the width of your housing from bearing flange to flange I've got the big bearing flange don't think that it really matters? on that? but I'm after the same look as far as where your tire comes out of the rear quarter wheel well . I know that your wheel may have a different back spacing but it will give me a starting spot KEEP it up its a beautiful car
Sorry it took so long... my rear end is 48 1/2 OD on the flange. My wheels are 10 wide with 3 1/2 back space. My slicks are 28-12.5-15 with this set up the inside of the tire has about a 1/2 inch clearance to the inner wheel well in the center of wheel well but as you move towards the rear it will get tight with a big tire. Since my car sits so high I won't have a problem not sure what you have planned. Hope that helps..
@@its_a_metal_thing My 61 set's up high also the set up is pretty much the same as yours. I didn't want to cut up my car I love the body lines and I plan on driving it on the streets too. I'm running Mickey Thompson sportsman pro's 28.5 N-50-15. I also have to move my leaf springs inward back spacing on wheels are 3-3/4 so like you I'm fabing up leaf hangers On the inside of the frame rails. The rear tires are 12.5 wide and I narrowed the 9" to 52.5 I believe is what it measures approximately I also put a 59 Econoline pickup axle in the front had it Narrowed 5.5" that makes it 48" I like the tracking front to back and my front skinnies are just inside the fender lip
