If Watterson had sold the rights to this comic, the syndicates would have made a killing, & they hated his guts for keeping HIS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY HIS. Kudos to Mr. Watterson.

you have to admire Calvin's creativity and dedication to making snow men horror scenes

The snow scenes were always my favs. Especially the sharks chasing the swimmer. So hard to have a favourite.

The parents jumping out of bed in the middle of the night was hilarious!

I had a terrible day at work. Came home and found this online without even trying. Now I go to bed ultra happy. Thank you. 🙂

I think I like Calvin’s snowmen the best of all of the Calvin cartoons!

I like that Watterson portrayed the parents honestly. Calvin’s dad wanted to get a dog 😄. I think sarcasm is the only way decent parents survive-and stay out of jail for infanticide. 😉And I can attest, as a spoiled eldest child, Calvin is true to life too. You haven’t lived if your mother hasn’t called you a “devil-fetch-ed chap”. I never had kids, but I have 4 nieces & nephews. Two should have been sold to the monkey house (Calvin’s mom’s funniest threat), two should have been used for alligator bait. 😁But they all grew up to be fine human beings. I wonder about Calvin. 🙂

This started off as the silliest thing I've ever seen... I can't stop laughing now. Thank you for a different take on one my childhood's best. P.s.: Susie's was hilarious.

Aside from the fact that Calvin and Hobbes was my childhood, 0:24 That was Dad and me when I was 10.

No wonder Watterson wanted to protect his creation.

The world is a better, happier place because Calvin lived where it snowed heavily, with ground cover deep enough to supply this prolific young artist in his medium of choice.

I LOVED this comic series when you compare him to other comic series that has mischievous boys like Dennis the menace he was the present modern day dennis the menace. The very first calvin and hobbes book I owned was Yukon ho I was disappointed when the series ended to early it should've been continued hell if he needed ideas for calvin and hobbes I have a Sh*T ton of stories involving my son's (lucky for me when I gave birth to there baby sister she balanced everything out perfectly because she required the LEAST amount of supervision and was self independent) imr how often do you see this on someone's fridge: FOOD AND OBJECTS BANNED FROM THE HOUSE list and trust me it had everything from scissors (not just once but twice), super glue, chocolate pudding, grandma's fabric paint, football etc etc etc

Hobbes: "I notice your oeuvre is monochromatic." Calvin: "whataya want? It's just snow."

I made the snow goon with two heads and three arms. As I was finishing it a lady was pushing her kid in a stroller down the sidewalk, and she looked and said "Oh! You're making a snow goon!"

I think everyone has a different interpretation of their voices, but you never really hear them when you read. Other people reading it sounds odd

I love Calvin and Hobbes and especially the Snow Goons. Bill certainly had a wonderful/warped sense of humour. He once said that he did not want C&H to be animated as he did not want to hear what Calvin sounded like. I agree and think that this effort is a total affront to C&H. It is totally unnecessary; and yes, it is better on mute!
