@@stevej4328 Have you even listened to the original enough times to realise? Her voice is so off pitch in the middle section and completely different timing. Instead of waking up go use your tone deaf ears
She sounds EXACTLY like the studio version, that’s how amazing Ellie is ❤️ and to those of you who think it’s playback, check her out at Rockin’ Eve 😉 she is just THAT good! Queen 👑
Ellie Goulding & Calvin Harris is literally the most iconic duo of EDM, they made one after one hits, "I Need Your Love", "Outside" and "Miracle" , also teased a FOURTH collab ! They are not just collaborators but close friends that's why the work they do always comes out as top class & innovative. I loved the fact that Calvin slapped on the face of BRITs by specially crediting Ellie for his award win because they didn't nominate her when it is both their song ! (sexist move)
It's not really sexist it's more that they only credited the DJ I almost bet they would of done the same if the song had a male vocalist of course it still is wrong but let's not start fights just for the sake of it.
2:25 live on the fookin hardwell remix proper gives me chilled goosebumps tears to joy exactly how he should end every set jus like at the summertime ball 🥺❤️
@@davidniemira I'm guessing that was the inspiration for the track. That moment where the song fades and a piano just starts building up is very reminiscent of electronic music from the 90s as well as some 00s. (Think About The Way by Ice MC is what comes to my head first)
Just literally found out! Harris had his Amiga 1200 up on that stage running Octamed (if this is true!) The very machine that began his entire music career :)
You know that drop and ending was boss af when even Calvin Harris doesn’t celebrate. Its shown within the crowd and Ellie instead. This will forever be a classic on the reals! Great performance by everyone involved. 💯🎧
I had an Atari 2600, an Amstrad with green screen, an Amiga 500+ then a Gameboy, SNES, PlayStation 1 gave up for years then an X Box then nothing for years, now I’m back into gaming with my kid on his Nintendo Switch and playing Mario all over again. Damn I’m old. Lol 42
Take a look at 1:54 moment. It shows the rear side of the monitor. There are large letters reading "SONY". Yes, it would have even nicer to see 1084S but... this is still great :-)
I'm so glad this song got famous. I was so scared it would kind of flop because it was so outdated and dance songs in general are not popular these days. Great job and luck!
It was not called EDM back in the later 90's/early 00's!! The Americans gave it that name in the 10's when it gained popularity there with Dubstep and what they called 'Techno' (which technically it wasn't)
