Everybody wants contradict Jays street cred, but facts is he was hustler before he blew up in the rap game, he just wants to leave that life in the past, he avoids situations to keep from messing up what he has now.

Everybody that got beef with Jay. It's always about what he didn't do for them not exactly what he did to them.

I'm not sure why Klein took that as disrespect. When I hear "next time you call me, make it make sense." I interpret that as.. "Deals fall through. Stay focused and get the next one." He had a $10 million budget; it's very unlikely Jay was trying to belittle him.

I don't think Jay meant it in a disrespectful way. He did say Jay was excited about the potential deal. To me Klein slipped up when he said "I backed out of the deal" and did not further elaborate. I would have worded it, "Jay the kept raising the price, because they know you're in on it, and want to go over budget you set for me, the deal wasn't wise". I'm not so sure Klein displayed humility as he comes across and Jay sensed it. Yes Klein WAS a boss, but it's the same thing. When a big dog gets knocked off the street, he still thinks he's a big dog and doesn't feel like he should bow down or show some respect. It boils down to ego. Happens in sports. The Main star doesn't want to acquiesce his power to the new guy, because he feels like he's still the main guy.

The way jay said "next time you call, make it make sense" may sound "a little" belittling, especially for a guy like Klien who use to be top dog...But from the sound of it, and the way he was discussing the story, it seemed jay didn't mean any disrespect by it, he genuinely wanted to see klien get back on his feet and set him up...I mean, giving someone a 10million budget isn't small money...you think jay would've given that much to beanie sigel ? jaz-o ? etc...Hell fucking NO..jay obviously had madd respect for klien, and knew klien was a smart nigga.
