I found my God sent Man and God called him home January 15, 2023. He was everything! I’ve never know love like we had. I kept waiting for it to fizzle out but it only got strong. I’ve never appreciate someone as much as I appreciated him. Wonderful husband awesome provider great dad even my mother loved him! God made a great one and released him from his pain and took him to comfort him because I had done all that I could do for him. He had a great day doing what he loved watching football and went home peacefully after the game was done. Afterwards, we listened several times, on repeat.🙃 This song is half the reason why I recall that year's celebration so fondly, spending time with family, friends, great music and even greater food. The other half that contributed to 2017 Thanksgiving holiday memories stems from alternating yet equal doses of happiness and sadness. That was the last time ALL of our close nieces and nephews were at our house for dinner on Thanksgiving day. By April 2018, less than five months after, our matriarchal niece transitioned from earth, at the age of 45. We now understand her reason for insisting and making sure everyone dined under one roof, that year. She'd received a diagnoses of cancer and heart issues and didn't share that information with us. At 45yo, she was gone. Without fanfare, she was gone. Without lengthy hospital stays, she was gone. With her heart of gold, she was gone. In quietness, her Spirit booked her last flight, spread her wings, lifted what remained of her weightless existence, and departed. We're left with laughter, photos, her silly sense of humor, and a hat that she removed from her head and placed directly only mine. Everyone still speaks of that time as the BEST Thanksgiving EVER.

Usually, Gospel songs, are the only music that heals my soul, but this song touched me in that way too. This touched me on such a deeper level as a mom of 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys! It’s not that I love my girls less than my boys it’s the love I have for each feeling totally different from each other. The first time I ever truly fell in love was the day I seen my first son, I’ll never forget the words his dad said to me while in labor…. He said this is a boy and this isn’t like having a girl, watch the love you have for your son it’s gonna be totally different! And still to this day I can’t explain the love for my 3 boys.
