Will definitely be praying for you all. I do have a question, though: if the Pope ends up having to excommunicate the German bishops, does that do anything to their churches? Will the faithful still have a place to worship and receive the eucharist? Convert, here, so I don't know.
I ask all PWA viewers and Matt to continue to pray for the Catholic Church in my home country - Germany. For the heretical bishops, but also for the faithful priests, bishops and laity who also can be found here and who want nothing more than to follow Jesus Christ.
Just got out of daily mass and ya, I offer up my communion for all the faithful in German. The same with go for the rest of the week. We all need to offer up things for you guys.
I will pray for that intention and also for the Catholic Church in the Netherlands. I also know that are faithful Catholics in both countries, which I am linked to for personal reasons.
Yes please fly him out to the US - it will be totally worth it !! ❤ He seems really lovely as well as extremely clear, level headed, well spoken and I like his Afro 😁
Calvin is getting much attention & I worry for him -- pray do not flatter / stick to topics only, not ad hominem praise. the lefty bishop who presented is utterly annoying... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hoavFUTHIBQ.html
He's a hate speech bigot. He's NOT a preacher because the Church of England refused to ordain him. He's simply a Mr wearing a a black frock. Hate speech carries a 15 jail sentance in UK. Beatings and murders of gay people has risen 50x. This Mr is toxic and evil.
I’m not catholic. I am a Christian. Calvin is a breath of fresh air in an arena that is sick and broken. I pray he is safe and sound. I think all Christians need to hear his message.
@@andrewtodd8683 then YOU take that up with God. it is not the opinion of us real Christians to follow the homophobic lifestyle of satanism. It is the instruction of God NOT to.
I watched his whole speech when it dropped a week ago and I was so dumbfounded by how perfect it was. I’ve since watched a bunch of other interviews with him. He’s not keen to become a Catholic, but there is no doubting the sincerity and profundity of his faith. He is a beacon, to be sure, and absolutely worth watching. I’d love it if you were able to interview him.
Dcn Robinson may be more open to eventually becoming Catholic than you have stated, especially since he holds many beliefs that line up more with Catholicism than Anglicanism, including the sinfulness of artificial contraception. Moreover, Robinson reveres Monsignor Michael Nazir-Ali as a valuable mentor. Monsignor Nazir-Ali was a former Anglican Bishop who converted to Catholicism in 2021.
@@docverit2668 well, your lips to God’s ears. (I have seen an interview where he refers to Catholics as “papists” and said that he’s not interested, hence my remark. Perhaps he has progressed since then.)
Yeah, I saw an interview where he said he's "too English" to become Catholic. 😆 We can pray that he comes home but at least he is mostly Catholic-friendly and is an amazing voice for orthodox Christianity.
@@michellepeeples2035 That's a pretty weak crutch to lean on "too English"... No serious man can say that with a straight face. Sounds like he was putting up a 'don't push the question while talking to me at this time" answer.
@@michellepeeples2035 As he finds the Anglican Church moving further and further into one heresy after another, the only home that will truly welcome him will be the One True Faith, warts and all. Then it will just be a matter of either following in the footsteps of his mentor or becoming cancelled once again as soon as the main body of the Church of England does not recognize the faction that Dcn. Robinson belongs to now. I don't know what its actual status is, but if the main body of the Church of England has any kind of say on its status, how will it tolerate the likes of Dcn Robinson and perhaps others of like-mindedness exposing their heresies and letting it continue if they can shut them down? Of course, we all want to see Dcn Robinson make the right choice of conversion for all the right reasons and not just "nowhere else to go," but whether he admits or not, he's much more Catholic now than he is Anglican. He just needs to do a John Henry Newman and come to recognize where the One True Faith resides, hopefully sooner rather than later.
You could say it was well presented and sincere, but......but Calvin Robinson is not scholarly and hardly more fair than his opponents. The church has been “changing” and adjusting scripture since the Council of Jerusalem on circumcision and non kosher food in the first century. The case of the Daughters of Zelophehad in Numbers shows sometimes even the law of God must be modified in certain cases. And if CR knew more history or had wider sympathies he would be painfully aware of the great injustices and confusion a main line in church treatment of gay people and issues has contributed to over the centuries. There should be, and is, a third possible position on the gay issue. It’s true churches have no business to take on claims and values from neo communist, materialistic Queer theory, but in turn neither should their critics like Calvin ignore many hidden stream indications of same sex issues in the bible. Jesus was quite aware of innate “homosexuality” (a non existent term in his time). The eunuch word was loosely used by his times to signal out of family way difference; and who are these people different “from the womb”? David and Jonathan had a berith (covenant, the word could read marriage) and Jesus’s marriage to the church is to both sexes. Much more along these lines could be said, but I gave up years ago attempting to get the differing sides even to talk about what might have helped clarify things. The (mostly American) conservatives want to ignore or bash or censor, the liberals don’t want or bother to reply and this could be insulting in my case as I obtained and was subsequently published for the first gay spirituality doctorate from any religious studies dept. I had a right to be included never accorded me to the point I lost all real interest and respect for those involved The churches must do better than this. Undeniably Calvin R says some good and true things, but not enough and half truths are dangerous
I’m an Irish mother of six children I’m catholic and every single word this god send of a man said is truly straight out of the bible the word of god will never go out of fashion his word is true and it’s from love our pope has to stand for gods word gods teachings the truth the word
I would looooooove to see him on the show. I haven't been exposed to much Anglican thought, and Calvin is one the best orators I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.
@@docverit2668 what defines Anglicanism is basically the fact that Henry VIII wanted to divorce and remarry … unsurprisingly seems that you can find quite contrary positions there. And unsurprisingly too many High Church followers regularly convert to Roman Catholicism. What is sad is that we seem to become the same “broad church” where all and its contrary is preached 😢
@@MaaFreddy Henry's desires "defined" Anglicanism in many respects at the outset, but it has gone way beyond that lone issue, and so it has separated itself more and more from Catholicism over the years.
Thank you for asking him about contraception. This issue convinced my brother to leave the Anglican clergy in 2004. He brought his parish with him when he became Catholic and then was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 2007. It was a long tough road being married with children, but it was worth the sacrifice.
@@cindyrobertson3798Several Anglican and Episcopalian priests were allowed to become Catholic priests under Pope Benedict (he had some kind of program for this), and many have wives and children. Listen to Father Meeks on RU-vid.
Calvin is a very enlightened man of God! He could teach many Catholic priests how to be more courageous shepherds! Bring Calvin or have another zoom podcast with him. It is needed!
Very well done Rev Calvin. You are a beacon of truth. Thank you. It's terrible that people dont realise that sin causes us harm, bodily, mental and spiritual. Every time we sin we open the door and ask Satan in to hurt us. Instead of getting more and more embroiled in sin we need to confess and repent, and get our life back on track.
I think it would be great to have him on your show Live in Person . It could change the minds of hundreds, thousands, or even millions. He speaks truth so elegantly
I can’t imagine hearing these words spoken so faithfully, bravely, and unapologetically from a pulpit in the Catholic Churches I’ve attended in my lifetime. However, I believe we’re at the point where this MUST begin to happen or many more of the faithful will be lost to the Church. We WANT faithful authority…not the words of God reinterpreted and watered down to make people “feel comfortable”.
No offense considering the church is not longer Orthodox why stay with them? And look we have issues in the Catholic Church and something must be done about the heretical Bishops in Germany
@@tylerwatson6492 fair enough. They’ll all fall to secular ideology. The only ones trying to stay firm are Catholics and Orthodox but I hope I’m wrong. Even the Mormon Church which I do not subscribe to their theology but has always been conservative when it comes to family values they went off and even bless sin now trying to virtue signal. I grew up around a lot of Mormons and know there theology. So it’s coming for your church as well.
@@tylerwatson6492 True, but the Catholic Church has been dealing with heresies since it’s inception and is pretty good about towing the line and excommunication of Bishops who don’t fall in line to Church teaching. So no church is ever going to be divorced form combatting heresies the question is which Church has the track record of doing it? It’s not out of place to defrock Bishops and Priests for being egregious as a form of discipline. Those German Bishops aren’t Catholic they want to apostate like the Angelican Churches (And other denominations) have and virtue signal. They should be honest and leave the CC for a denomination they agree with. The Angelican denomination is about what 500 years old, Lutherans the same and then you got the Calvinists. To me the Orthodox faithful from those Churches so give another look to Catholicism is all I’m suggesting here. Believe me there’s hundreds of millions of Catholics waiting to see what Pope Francis does here about these German Bishops. I hope he is the man for our times or he could invalidate the faith. Catholic Doctrine doesn’t do changes truth. There’s a difference between development of doctrine which all doctrines develop vs a direct change making a U Turn after 2,000 years. Can’t be done if we actually believe Scripture so that’s what is at stake for Catholicism
As a Latter-day Saint, we have heard multiple voices calling out at our leadership to change the view on lgb people. This helped validate my belief so much.
@@pastorbri We are not condemning people with same sex attraction. We are condemning engaging in the act of sodomy, which is unequivocally a sin in scripture.
You should hear him preaching about the sick, poor and needy. Or him preaching the gospel, or him preaching about the downtrodden and outcasts of society…..except you’d be waiting a long time because he never speaks about these things, his focus is to attack and moralise just like a Pharisee. “To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”” Luke 18:9-14 There isn’t an ounce of humility in him, his god is notoriety and self serving.

Yes! Bring Calvin Robinson for an intervew. It would be epic! I watched his speech a week or so ago, and thought it brilliant and left me wishing our own Bishops and Holy Father will take inspiration from it!
OMG! Thank you for this. The Rev. Calvin is SO articulate and solid in his assertions. As a cradle Catholic, I would LOVE to hear more from him on PWA!!
@@pastorbri Homophobia is an invented term to suppress any and every critique of homosexuality. Homosexual acts are sinful. Hate the sin. Love the sinner. Since the person must not be condemned, (only God can do that) then homosexuality, in that thinking, cannot be condemned. So the term "homophobia" is a smokescreen, a cover-all. @Dakota Bledsoe Without the Catholic church the original, first & ancient church of Christ there'd be no Protestor Christians that came some 1500 years later. Just a fact. As I said he sounds more like a Catholic than Protestant & God Bless Him.
Why rave over a Protestant pastor when there are many, many traditional catholic experts on the homosexual issue? And don’t join the Anglican Ordinariate, join the Traditional Roman Rite.
@Dakota Bledsoe did you notice how when it came down to brass tax Calvin appealed to the Holy Father and the teaching of the Catholic Catechism? There is a reason. Scriptures can be twisted and bent to our destruction but the Church exists to keep us from doing that.
@Dakota Bledsoe Why did St. Ignatius of Antioch, a Bishop and Student of John the Apostle tell us to “Follow the Bishop as Jesus Christ follows the Father” I mean the New Testament had already been compiled by this point, so *surely* it was their only infallible rule of faith? If so, why would this disciple of the Apostles make such a statement? Why would St. Paul tell the Thessalonians to “Hold fast to the traditions you have been taught, wether by word of mouth or by a letter of ours.” (2 Thessalonians 2:15)
