No. I'm just passionate about good music and I filmed this in fun with my little LOW COST camera. I don't have tripods. I film while dancing, laughing, singing, with the same fun as the guy we see in the background! I'm sorry if the sound is too loud, if the quality of the video is low and I shake the lens while dancing. Also: the video is truncated. Indeed, the video ends during a break, while the singer then made his conclusion. But I had already stopped filming. I always wait for C am Cole to break into Ram Jam's "Black Betty" but I suppose that would be too obvious. Still though, I wonder what are the influences of this marvelous and wonderful performer.
Seeing him and listening to him live, I directly thought of The White Stipes. On his Facebook Page, he indicates to have influence of White Stripes, Michael Jackson, T-Rex, The Beatles, Stones, and everything else.

Totaly agree for Came Cole. I know camera sucks but your criticism too. I'm not a professional. Just passionate about good music. It's amateur and filmed with a very low cost camera. Just for my own memory and for fun. Respect and note that I motivated the hearing when the singer took the feet in the cable of his guitar ;)
I think you mean genre, lol, not gender. It's hard to categorise, there's a lot of influence. The meat and bones is a rock and roll beat, with some blues in there with the open tuning and slide, which gets an edge from grunge with the fuzzy distortion. Then a lot of the lyrics and saying stuff like music for change, makes a connection to folk. I think you'd have to look pretty hard to find anyone else with these influences, put together in this way. He has a sound and tone of his own. Especially now he's using a classical guitar that he's strung up a classical guitar with steel strings, and dropped a humbucker into.
