Cam Measuring 

A short video showing the use of my cam profile measuring system.
A 1 micron linear encoder is used to get the cam lift and a rotary encoder is used to get the angle. I rotate the cam manually as shown because this generates no vibration.
The output from the encoders is captured by an Arduino which feeds the data to my software on a laptop to further processing.
The video is less than 1 minute and that is how long it takes to measure two lobes to a high degree of accuracy.
