Yea . they know it too, this clip kinda made me think they should get paid based on they performance but its really about how much the “organization” makes. Either way the only reason to pay based on performance is so cheaters don’t throw games and it kinda seem that we past that in the sports world
You can't make your son or anyone work harder. If you push people too hard they’ll resent you. What you can do is show him. If you want him to wake up at 3am to workout you gotta show him.
Cam was worth it. We haven’t been shit since he’s been gone. The man took more hits without getting any calls than probably any QB and still played. People love to criticize his Super Bowl performance, but the people of Charlotte have love for him still.
@@ChadV1234 I I’m not going to judge a player on one season. Especially when it was a terrible team that was beyond help. Brady couldn’t have saved that team.
Bc of what he just said. No matter what, you are getting 750k a week. He didnt care anymore about whether he did good or bad. 1 good season, though, just like Kap
When you are the best at something t that hundreds of thousands of people work hard to be good at, you get paid. There's only 100 quarterbacks in the NFL at a given time and maybe 10 of those are elite, you gotta be incredible to get there and you deserve a bag if you cna perform at that level.
Yep, I remember Cam's Year was the first year the NFL capped the contracts cuz the previous year was Sam Bradford who got paid crazy for doing nothing.
You sure it wasn’t jamarcus Russell’s fault ? There are plenty of players who didn’t make an impact their rookie year or ever in their careers that still turned out to be decent pros and semi adequate backups that’s who Sam Bradford was but Jamarcus ? 😭
@@lovedavantlamour301 What I mean he got paid for doing nothing was he came in as a rookie and never put up any stats but got paid more than Tom Brady and I remember that was a big deal back then cuz Tom actually made a comment about it. That's what I mean. And yes there was a ton of players that got paid for being a bust for many different reasons. Not all of it is the player's fault that I know for sure
People were also mad that Jake Long was the highest paid OL in NFL History(when he was drafted). But with this new CBA all that money goes to QBs & WRs
Watching him play was worth every penny. Certain players just bring excitement to the game whether they win or lose you're gonna see something that make you go damnnmn lol
Daaaam son! Love it!!! I can’t imagine what those owners made to still be in the profit margin. Don’t matter….. you got 700k+. Wow! Ya deserve it all and then some Cam!
Even tho I don’t agree with a lot of things Cam says… He was a hell of a player. He put his body on the line every sunday. He deserved the money he got paid through his career.
700 grand a week is crazy. But that stops after 17 weeks. And it's easy to spend wild when you see that, not recognizing it's those checks are supposed to last your entire life.
He made almost 100Ms in his career trust me he is beyond good “for life” anyone who makes crazy $ in sports and then spends it all and goes broke deserves to be broke.
Now the NFL spreads that money over the entire year cuz too many players were going broke spending all their money and didn’t take into consideration the months they weren’t getting paid lol
@@rari1055Tom Brady is genuinely the only player that didn’t chase money. He could’ve always been the highest paid player like Mahomes but na. He always chose to be a team player.
You say that like Toma not worth over 500 million and has endorsement injust about every product that sponsors the league. They don't hand allow you to win more that 1 championship game in every sport. Professional league's are ULTRA COMPETITIVE... these guys are good. People that make these Dumb comments like this is some rec center where guys play pickup games for fun. *"THIS IS A REVENUE SHARING BUSINESS"* there supposed to negotiate there share for whatever situation
This is one of many reasons why once a player makes it to the league, they fall off or not hungry anymore because they are getting a sizeable check. The biggest example of this is Jemarcus Russell.
I think you're also forgetting Russell had a crippling lean (medicated cough syrup) addiction. I don't necessarily think the money hurt his football career but it completely destroyed his personal life.
@mazeratifox7208 That's true, he was battling a lot of demons on and off the field. Players I wished succeeded were Vince Young and Johnny Manzel. They had all the talent in the world.
It’s different now because nil. These players are coming in at all pro levels because their nil check was more than the rookie scale check. They want a real pay day down the line
@EGuala21 That is correct. It's a double-edged sword. Case and point, Last season, FSU had gone undefeated and missed out in the playoffs. Over 40+ athletes skipped their bowl game because they felt it wasn't important. I believe NIL contracts played a significant part in these athletes making that decision to whether to play or sit.
I seen before awhile back from a front office personnel . I forget who for . But they said one of the things they look for is a player that said they made it in the combine interviews . Cause said player "made it " so there more likely to shlep off cause they feel like they made it already . Kinda makes sense . There's more to it but that's the short of it .
He was worth every penny too. If he went to a franchise that actually knew how to build a team instead of putting everything on one players back (Cam, CMC, what they doing to Bryce now) he’d have an even bigger argument to being the greatest dual threat ever cause we saw how elite he was early as an athlete and his final healthy season in 2016 as a passer
If can cared as much about football as he did the bag hed have 10x what he has now. Cam is the most insane case of high mobility, insane arm talent, just never figure it out between the ears. His raw skill is a GOAT tier qb, the man behind it is why he only had 2 or so great seasons and might not make the hall...crazy
It’s hard to make the HOF a lot of things have to go in your favor to do so. But, Cam is responsible for potential 2 of his teammates getting in. Steve Smith Sr and Greg Olsen
@LadoEste9 no steve Smith taught cam to qb in the league. Thing is of cam had the work ethic of manning, brady or Brees people would compare him to mahomes. The dude was so insanely good in bursts. You could tell he wad a 1/1 he just couldn't ever figure out how to hold it together...and I think him refusing to jump on the fumble in the super bowl kinda summed up his mentality on the game. Brady said it before, playing qb isn't about being big strong or fast it's about heart, competitiveness and doing what's needed to help your team win. Cam was a full kit qb, he just cared more about goofy hats than winning. Sad really.
@@Hhyb2006 and yet public service, roads, and education are fcked up...sheit they talking about bringing the draft back... so where the fck is the tax money going?... In the pockets of mfkers who pay the least amount of taxes... make it make sense....
The psychology of what he just talked about in sports should be studied. The key part of what he said is no matter how he played he was getting that. We would love to think that a huge check would motivate you to play hard. But how could it when you get it if you play well or not.
Which the nfl made him lose so manning can walk off in the sunset..cam knows that he could’ve won that game easily that why he was never the same on the field it took something out of him
Happy for that brotha! Well deserved. When you are in the Top .00005 percent in your profession in the entire world, YOU DESERVE IT. People tune in to see players like him! Not the owners. Not the coaches. We watch the players! And the best ones get PAID
A luxury man-made sport tradition that's changed over time in the rules and pay, but you have tradesmen and farmers who are busting tail for most not to make much at all much less over 700 thousand a week. You can say whatever you want to about what human has skill in entertainment but at the end of the day, this society is backward and these show people are making way too much money. It is what it is, but I disagree with them deserving it and your whole speech on giving them wealth through nonsense that provide more harm than good to society.
@@greglovelace246It’s always someone crying about how much athletes make…. But never CEOs, COOs or such! Maybe people should support Unions and not mega corporations and CEOs! So the farmer and the teacher can be paid more! I’d be curious who you voted for in the last election.. cuz one side breaks unions (Starbucks, Walmart, TraderJoes and Amazon) and the tries to help people unionize! (Bleeding heart liberals) At any rate everybody has a path all of them are not paid the same. Value and payment do not always go hand in hand in a capitalist society. I’m not gonna beat that dead horse… but I think you get the point.
How'd this hero of yours do in the only Superbowl he ever played in,,, I'll answer it, mofo gagged, he couldn't perform on the big stage, he looked like a lost boy out there, Superman was Super bad,,
Moral of the Story is he still got paid more at the end of his career than Me or You and our families Combined plus all of our Ancestors ,I'm just saying
and you deserved every bit of it. people don't accredit the sacrifice these young athletes make in their youth to get to these numbers down the road hard work paid off cam
It's amazing how these guys show how mind blowing it is to them the amount of money they get paid to play a kid's game but yet we still go with the basis that they deserve all of it. Smh we are a stupid society
@@KingloTRG I just been doing a lotta studying on history n shit. Been seeing a lot of patterns in wealth disparity and I guess that turns me off when I see the rich discuss wealth without a point or substance of the conversation. I see why u say that tho that's real.
$200 a week!!??? There is no way you work anywhere in the US only making $200 a week and if you do then you need to either report them or quit immediately because that’s not a survivable income I hope you made a typo.
This generation thinks quitting the only income you have makes sense while expecting someone to provide for them financially. Saying I'm not going to let them use me.
One of the greatest college players. Such a disappointment in the nfl. Never worked on his game. He would still be playing at an elite level if he worked on his game.
That’s why I’m a sports fan. I no longer pay to watch a specific team in any sport, except for boxing. I used to be a die-hard home team supporter, attending games and even getting into fights. But then it hit me: they don’t really care about us. As long as they make money, they’re content. The players earn huge salaries-imagine the owners! They couldn’t care less about fans. Meanwhile, players casually dine together after games, while fans sometimes resort to violence. It just doesn’t add up.
