Also Khmer have immigrated to other countries around the world too, but majority have settled in America. I also have family in America.

I just visited Cambodia 2022 last year and the country is thriving. Yes it's still poor but you can see this country's future in the next 10 years or so. I Love Sihanoukeville the most. I'm going to live there for good soon. The US is a mess right now with over 40 million illegals, homeless, high crimes, inflation, US dollar devaluation,.etc.

I can’t believe you call America a rate’s race. America gives you a new life and every opportunity to succeed. I am wondering why uncle did not become a US citizen. He should become a citizen a long time ago so he wouldn’t be deported. America only deported you if you committed a felony or crime. If your friend stayed in Cambodia, I’m sure he will not make 6 figures. He should thanks America for this opportunity so he has a better life. We all know America is a multi ethnic society so we’re going to have this problem forever. You don’t think Cambodia have a racial problem? I believe it has, too.

That's the messed-up part. USA is land of the free, but not the land of redemption. Many deportees fixed themselves and become better members of society. Their only issue was being born in Cambodia. And with prior records, INS/USCIS will not grant them citizenship.

Dude I just visited Cambodia last year 2022 and I can say life in Cambodia is easier than here in the US. The whole country is thriving because of investments from China. I'm moving there for good soon and thinking about living in Sihanoukeville.

@@Needle620 The freedom part in Cambodia is true too. In the US, you feel like a slave paying taxes for the rest of your life. I like to live in a place where I feel like a human. Yes, Cambodia is a wild west but that's what many people around the world are seeking right now due to government regulations, centralization, and corruption within a so called free country.

Good morning, if I may..... America is not the land of the free.,..we have to get permission from at least one government authority, most of the time several to do almost anything, for example, paint your house? Not without permission and you are only allowed certain colors. The majority of people here live their entire lives in debt to finance their lifestyle, debt is another form of slavery. I have managed to live over 20 years free of debt, I can not afford a new car, I live in an old house in a small village I was able to pay for in 5 years. If you do an actual comparison you will probably find that a country like Cambodia the people have more freedom, thank you

When your to lazy trying to apply for citizenship and you do the crime, then you do the time. I don't feel sorry for them. Cost of living in Cambodia is way more cheaper than living in the USA

I personally know 2 that got deported and I can say, they committed some very serious felonies.

He was born in Cambodia and lived in Cambodia most of his life.

All I know right now life in Cambodia is better than the US regardless whether you are a deportee or not. I was there last year and movin to Cambodia for good.

@@genatan743 It was my first time there last year. Honestly thought I wasn't going to like it but it took me by surprise. The whole country is developing so fast it's crazy. Opportunities is everywhere. It's how you make it to be. I'm a trader and an investor so I can live pretty much anywhere. In today's world of technology there is no excuse for you to stay in one spot. You will be financially free when you realize how they play the game. It's all am saying for now. Action have consequences, it’s very sad to deport them, like you said they grew up in the U.S but the U.S government have their rules and laws to abide by. I hope those guys that got deported can survive and make a new life for themselves in their new old country.

💯 I love and respect my OGs and older homies. We got robbed and beat up by blacks and Mexicans and whites and the older homies protected our Khmer people. Maybe you weren’t involved personally, but I can tell you people no longer messed with us like they used too.
