Cambridge Audio's first product, the P40 integrated amplifier, was launched in 1968. The British company is now 55 years old. The name comes from the city, Cambridge, where some talented engineers set about designing the P40, which was intended to compete with Japanese products that were beginning to populate the UK's hi-fi shops. It was an immediate success, and there have been many more up to the present day, including the EVO series, which, without betraying its roots, faces a more modern market that, in addition to listening to quality music, wants simplicity and connectivity. EVO 150, simple, easy to use, equipped with a full streamer as well as phono or HDMI inputs for TV, manages to do everything at the touch of a button, and is compact and aesthetically pleasing. Then there is the EVO series, which includes two models, this 150 and its little brother EVO 75, which are a synthesis of modern and antique, with a compact and attractive aesthetic, even with interchangeable sides, and capable of audio performance absolutely worthy of the name they bear. The sound is the classic of the British manufacturer, with great power at its disposal and a beautifully designed application, the StreamMagic app, that accompanies the listener in all his or her needs.
