Thanks guys. I have been using these filters for about 2 years with ok results for the water in my area (northern Virginia). I thought it was removing more hard water but thanks to your scientific testing I see it’s not really doing much but improving the taste, not that I drink it. I am definitely going to rethink about what to use to soften my water. Thanks again ✌️👍☮️

Thanks for watching. One note, depending on what is in your tap water, these might be removing some minerals and still be helping. Hard to say without deeper tests.

I have been using this filter in SoCal and I have been getting great results. I do not know how hard your water is vs California, but using the filter buys me more time to work with my foam, bucket washing and rinsing time. Especially, working in direct sunlight, during summer time. I truly appreciate the video.

I can confirm the results, at least as measured by a TDS meter. Unfiltered water at my home is 400 ppm. Water filtered with these RV filters actually increased a little to 410ppm. I flushed the filter for a good 3 minutes. I read on an online forum that these filters are not designed to filter out dissolved solids such as calcium and magnesium. They only filter out stuff you can see--sediment, dirt, etc.

I would really like to see this same experiment with a DI system. Water spots are the bane of my existence.

@@PureOctaneGarage need some short sleeve t,s for summer.between bleach,iron removers,spray on sealants in the wind and black plastic trim treatments i,m pure hell on shirts...oh yea cigar ash burn holes.😝...goin online...all you POG fans it really is cool merch as Ryan says but the material on the socks suck...helllloo.wife didnt like at all.

We have major limestone in our water in E Tn.takes it out pretty good.fun vid,hope you had fun.not bummed at all,you have neighbors with RV,s ....hook them up.

@@PureOctaneGarage fun watching the 2 of you play scientist.must admit very legit test.....next up the Unger di car wash kit....not.reviews are mediocre across the board and refill deionization refill bags are over 40.00$ each...20 washes max.looking like cloudy days and a really good towel and a leaf blower are it for us driveway heroes for now.
