Was wondering who it was you reminded me of. I finally got it. Its your eyes.Steve Martin . Anyone else see what I mean? :) Anyway Izzy, love your videos they are a great help at times. One thing I will say though is that when filming run and gun stuff then your choice of mics and straight to video sound is right. However when doing narrative stuff i.e short film or long shots where you have no radio mics, then the effort of having to sync in post is worth the hassle. But you knew that.
You can also make a DIY Lav using simple earbud headphones from walmart. (The ones with the play/pause button) Just cut off the earbuds (if you want to, I did.) or just plug it right into your phone or audio recording device and record audio separately and then sync it in post. Unfortunately though, does not work when plugged into my camera's mic input. I cut off the earphones so I can put on a foam cover and furry windscreen. (highly recommended for windy environments)
Thanks, that was very helpful. Could you recommend some inexpensive options for cameras that take a mic-in? And how much difference is there between mini vs. pro-audio mic-in built into the camera?
hello. helpfull video indee. i was wondering about the cliper microphone you were using in this video. do you remember it's identification + manufacturer? :) i'd appreciate an answer. thanks in advance
Why is this so hard to find information about. My PC computer microphone did NOT work with my Canon RF video camera. I think you have to use a "powered" microphone on some camcorders. Why does nobody talk about powered vs unpowered.
hello i have a problems about microphone because every microphones had a different sound of voice and may i know what kind of microphone that is used for singing please reply.
