Who would have thought that camel racing would be a popular sport in Oklahoma? The was an ostrich race too but I didn't find out about that until it was a bit too late to document that one. #Camels #CamelRacing #Rodeo #Oklahoma #Pawhuska #AmericanHeartlands
I had to resort to operating my camera handheld for this one so control will be a bit whacky at times. Perhaps I will be better prepared for all the events when I return to Pawhuska next year!

Where else can I find camel racing in the USA? Let me know when and where below and tell us where you are from!

There's occasional zebra, camel, and ostrich racing at various horse tracks. The two that come to mind are Elis Park in Kentucky and Canterbury Park in Minnesota

Thank you very much for the tips! A bit out of my planned range for travel for 2022 but I hope to return for the Ben Johnson Days to get the ostrich and camel races now that I know how to cover them better.
