Hey man, thanks for the help and such, but I do have one question, whenever I screen record on my phone, when I look back at the footage, it's in bad quality, do you know how to help with this?
When you state "bad quality", I'm not sure exactly what your issue is, but I'll take a stab at a few things. The recording is going to use your screen resolution to record. Make sure that you've got the highest resolution possible set up on your phone. Make sure your phone is connected to the same wifi router as your headset, this can improve general picture and reduce distortion. Hope these help.
Either the phone is on silent or the app is. Just run the app by itself, while you're in a lobby, adjust the volume on your phone or the app so you can hear.
@@Eyspi-grab I make my own. I use shotcut to edit. When I spot a frame that I think will make a good thumbnail, I export it. Usually, I find two or three that I like to start. Then I use GIMP to create the thumbnail.
So I’m not really sure if I’m doing something wrong but whenever I record I can’t get the camera view for some reason. It comes out as my first person perspective.
It sounds like you need the camera pack. That's what gives you the in game items, drone, selfie, handheld, neck. Whenever you manifest one of those, you'll get that view. Also, in the app itself, there's a gear icon (top left corner). When you select that, you'll get the option for "Shoulder Cam" or not, that's the 3rd person perspective.
Check your phone. It's in silent or the volume is turned all the way down. Jump into the game with just the mobile app, no headset, and make sure you can Yeeps on the phone. Once you can, you'll be able to record and capture the sound.
In the play store, it has to be for android 13 or higher, but I expect someone will bust out the apk by itself at some point. The Devs have to comply with the Play store rules, so I doubt you'll see an official version for anything less than android 13.
You can use android. Almost any android now. It was restricted to android 13 and above, but Nathan figured out a work around for that. In the google play store, search for Yeeps Companion.
Have you linked the mobile app with your character? If not, get in game, go to the techweb and you'll see the mobile app station. Get the code their and make sure the mobile app is using the same one.
How do I fix it so like when I record it doesn’t have those like black lines on the side because then when I edit the video and then send it to RU-vid I like kind of like zoom in
If the phone is in landscape mode, the video will be also. If it's in portrait, you video is in portrait mode. You want to be in landscape for YT. Make sure the phone is in Landscape mode BEFORE you start the app. See if that helps.
@@Snowyvraa Sorry, we're obviously not communicating. I don't understand what you mean by "black bars". My best guess is that your screen recording blank edges. If so, you need to use a filter to size up your vid, maybe 110% before you edit. (Enough to eliminate the black area you don't want.)
@@ImaRainbow It is a series of tournaments where you fight with bats gadgets will vary from just bats, gloves, fire works, etc. Mabey in the future there will be prizes! Also there are fun mini games under the arena such as parkour, rollercoasters, TARGET shopping center, a music stage, ice rink, etc! I would be glad to give you a peek sometime!
can i ask you do i need to have turn on mobile and screen recording on mobile to do a video or i can use a recording on vr sorry for my english i can't speek english too much. pls reply
Mobile camera app = screen recording. You can also record on the Quest 3. If its easier to ask in your language, please do that, and I'll goggle translate it.
That's the first person view. On your device, open the app, select the gear icon, top left. Select "shoulder cam" to select 3rd person view. If you don't have the camera pack, you should buy that to use the drone, handheld, selfie or neck cams.
When you install the mobile app, it'll ask if you want to get the camera pack, say yes. If you didn't, uninstall the app and then relink it. Should give you the option again.
Make sure you phone and the volume of the app itself aren't on silent or mute. If that doesn't work, uninstall the app, reinstall and link it up with the code again.
That's you phone settings. Go into the mobile app, without be on the headset. Pick a lobby with folks in it. You should be able to hear them on your phone speakers. If you can't, turn up the volume til you can. Also make sure you're not hooked up to earbuds or something else. Once you can hear the sound on your phone, you should be able to turn it down, but not off and still record sound.
Make sure the phone orientation can rotate automatically. That'll be in your phone settings, not the yeeps companion settings. Once it does that, make sure that you're in landscape before starting the app.
The handheld and selfie cams will all stay where you put them, so you can turn them any direction you want. Now, you might be asking about going from portrait to landscape mode. If so, let me know.
Let's recap. You were able to install Testflight and the Yeeps app? When you try to join, you get a black screen but can hear Yeeps? Are you using an iphone or ipad? Are you connected via wifi or using your mobile provider?
@@ImaRainbow I was able to install it using Testflight, and I only get the black screen on the mobile app, not the VR app. I am using my ipad. I think I am using wifi
@@oofman2113 Okay. I'm working off my IT experience here. Your wifi, might have a firewall going that interferes with the video. You can try temporarily disabling it or connecting to a different wifi signal to see if the video shows up.
I've tried turning off the wifi and turning it back on and changing to a different wifi. When I open the app, I can see the buttons like the joystick, but everything else is just a black screen, does it take a little for the app to load in the game maybe?
just looked back through the bug reports on the discord. Might be because your app isn't up to date. Try this, open up the TestFlight app, by itself. When you do, it should show you if there's an update for Yeeps Mobile App. If it does, select it and it should upgrade you. Let me know if this helps.
Get into yeeps, just on the ipad. Make sure your headset isn't on. In any lobby, you should be able to hear yeeps yapping. If you can't, adjust the volume for the ipad or the app until you can. Then you should be able to record the soundl
Everyone that's playing now, is in the beta. Anyone will be able to get the mobile/camera app, but they've maxed out the testers currently. Once the Devs release the game, anyone that wants the camera will be able to use it.
Yes, but you'll need additional hardware and a pc/mac. I'm working on video now to demonstrate how I do it. I don't screen record, but capture in OBS. Should be out in a day or two.
I mention that in the video. If you phone is in portrait mode when you start the app, that's the way it records, even if you rotate it. For landscape, start with the phone sideways and leave it that way.
Make sure the phone orientation can rotate automatically. That'll be in your phone settings, not the yeeps companion settings. Once it does that, make sure that you're in landscape before starting the app. Sorry for the late reply, but the comment just showed up today.
On your device/phone/tablet, start up the mobile. Do not go put on the headset. Once the app is up and running, go to any lobby with yeeps in it. Now, adjust you phone until you can hear the lobby on your phone. You may have to take the phone off silent, or turn up the volume for the mobile app. Once you can hear the lobby on your phone, you'll be able to record it.
Without being in VR, start up the app. Once its in a lobby, you should be able to hear. If not, adjust the volume til you can. Some phones have separate volumes for each app, if your's does, you might need to adjust that too.
BEFORE you start recording, make sure the phone is horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait). Screen recording uses the orientation to set the recording aspect ratio.
For some reason it’s all black on my screen but I can see the Settings the move button in the logout button and all of that it’s just I can’t see anything
@@tyzo-.-tbs Interesting, doesn't help, but you're the second person to tell me something similar. If you're on the discord, you might report this in "bug reporting"
@@tyzo-.-tbs I just looked back through the bug reports on the discord. Might be because your app isn't up to date. Try this, open up the TestFlight app, by itself. Check you phone. If you can't hear the audio on your phone, it won't record it. Open up the app, without using the headset. Go to any room, if you can't hear the yeeps, take you phone off silent or adjust it til you can hear them. Once that works, you'll be able to record sound.
I don't understand your question. If you use the mobile app by itself, it's just a disembodied head, floating around. If you use the app while you're in VR, then the camera becomes your 1st or 3rd person view, or you can use any of the 4 cameras, drone, selfie, handheld, neck to record what you want.
That is interesting. So you tried to install on the phone. You're under 13 (don't tell me you age) and the Yeeps or TestFlight app wouldn't install? You were able to install on ipad with no age warnings? Please elaborate, since this is new to me and it might help someone else in the future.
@@ImaRainbow my moms account is still on the iPad so I took that advantage so that’s how I got the Yeeps mobile app (also can I pwetty please be fweindz with u on oculus)
If you're just using an iphone, you screen record. Then you edit that. If you're asking how I do it specifically, I use an Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter to output directly to a MiraBox hdmi splitter into OBS on my PC.
When i screen record on the yeeps app when I’m playing on my Vr and I stop the recording I hear my voice twice like echo or something how do I make is maybe not do that
@@Jackson-wc3fr Sorry, I was going to try and put a vid together, but too much happening IRL. Your phone is probably too close to your headset, even in the same room, can cause feedback. Things you can try. Move the phone to a different room so you can't here it at all. Turn down the volume on the phone, but don't put it in silent. Turn down the volume of your headset. See if one of those works for you.
I have the app I Linked my oculus and Check out the part where you can just float around us ahead but every time I do it it will show me a black screen the cursor and like the option to spectate people
@@matchews Trass has released the Yeeps Companion to the Apple App Store. You don't need test flight any more. Is that the version your using? If not, get that one. If it still doesn't work, I'd suggest dropping a bug report in the Yeeps discord.
