Camera System for RV... Is it worth it or am I paranoid?

As we travel and we stay in different areas around the country I increasingly thought having some way to monitor our RV would be a huge benefit.
Total install time with App set up was maybe an hour and a half... As we continue with #RVSecurity options we will keep sharing our updates. #RvLife has many twists and turns and theft is something many will deal with at some point.. so a little peace of mind goes a long way.

Eric w/Nomadic Fanatic has extensive security systems set up along with signs by the door nd other locations on the outside of the Class A informing 'would-be' thieves that they are on camera. But, then all depends on the thief actually reading the sign positioned just above his motorcycle as he steals the gas from the motorcycle . :0, Eric supplied the video filming to the police for future thefts that might occur.

@David Riggins - almost all FL campgrounds are pet friend. We live in south FL, all the sites we have stayed in have all accepted pets. Some may ask for shot paperwork.

Thanks for sharing the information about your exterior cameras. I have ordered a Mofi4500. I also contacted OliveIP as you stated that's where you got your cell service from. I have not ordered the SIM yet. Not sure how many GB we will need thus my next question. How much data do these cameras consume? If and when you travel with your dog....we have a camera that we use to watch our dog at home. We will be bringing this in the RV as we travel. Not sure how much it will use but we will only plug it in when we leave her (the dog) behind. When I finally purchase our cell SIM for the router, I hope to have a better idea how much GB to go with. P.S. liked the dinosaur🦕 video. You crack me up. Patiently waiting for Sunday.

Hi Todd & Shelia, Carolgene & I got a great laugh at your video “Poopy Rainbows” we started part time RVing as of June 2020. We watch and study 100s of videos over the years and as you know now you just got to do it. We are looking forward to seeing more great adventures 😉 One little tip I was told when we started - If you want a new hobby get an RV 😃 Take care We hope to see you both sometime on the road

Great geek factor, but aside from that it's a commercial for why you should be paranoid about RV'ing. Or maybe not--you basically only caught false alarms. And surveilling while boondocking is probably the biggest waste of time. By far, your biggest "security risk" is going to be camping in sardine city campgrounds. Leave valuable stuff outside in those places, shame on you for baiting thieves. Not like your footage is actually likely to result in justice and compensation for your trouble.

Don't forget... after buying the cameras, everything else is FREE! We have Blink for our house, and we can view video and take pictures in real time; capture and save video indefinitely (up to a certain level of GB); and we can holler at any intruders when we get the real-time motion notifications, as you mentioned. We are definitely going to be installing a few on Glenda (our camper) even though we're not full-timers. We just like the fact that we can watch what is going on or will get notifications. Great video. And thanks for sharing your story!!!

Nice video today Todd... We are leaving soon to go on a very long trip, about 8 months.. And I am installing the blink system on the outside of our 5th wheel toy hauler... Do you have the outside cameras in your amazon store..? I just have to say, thanks for all the great info.. Keep up the great work.... And by the way, being paranoid is the 2021 normal....

Thanks for such great info! Coincidentally we were at Cracker Barrel as over nights going n returning from our RV trip last summer and I couldn't sleep because I didn't know what was going on outside in the parking lot. Don't think there was a dinosaur but can't say for sure...lol Thanks so much for sharing a solution. BTW hope you took care of the issues from your "poop on your 🌈" without too much difficulty.

I may have missed you addressing how you keep your wifi network "up" all the time? We use the personal hotspot on our at&t iphone's as our internet solution while on the road and I'm not sure I can leave that "up" all the time especially since we are limited to 5GB per billing session. Any comments/advice would be appreciate. New subscriber and liking what I 've seen so far!

We have those cameras around our house and we're lucky to get 2 months out of the batteries. I've adjusted them as much as possible to maximize their life. Other than that, they work great.

Why do you leave things out? Do what we did in Montana there was something outside boondocking no one around so just hit the horn button on remote for truck,it worked hubby was more afraid than I was, he also believes in Big Foot 🤣

Ummm... we have a couple areas that need some repairs... the Ram has a lot of curves and this wrap material is super thick... other than that it's great
