Guys pls read my full review of the P40 Pro here. Thank you! www.forbes.com/sites/bensin/2020/04/06/huawei-p40-pro-review-my-favorite-hardware-in-mobile-right-now/
Another awesome review with clearly distinguished categories for comparison like wide angle night shot. Definitely easier for all the viewers to consume and understand. Keep up the good work man! Salute !
Hi Ben, please make the same comparison style as you did in this video using P40 Pro and P30 Pro. I think it's interesting to see how is the improvement of the ultra wide lens for the newer one.
Mi 10 Pro!!🔥🔥 and one thing I've loved about the Mi 10 Pro so far is how fluid the camera/video features are. The vlog mode and ai 8K are both AWESOME.
Good camera test. Thank you! But let's not forget that most probably this is the pre-productions software on Huawei and they will put a lot of effort in future updates to make the camera processing better.
Thank you for this beautiful video in high definition ;-) it still lacks a camera test when going from light to dark then passing against typical daylight under a bridge or tunnel.
By the end of 2020, the Mate 40 Pro will again prove that Shaomi's upcoming 144mpx camera is just a number, as the P40 Pro / Pro + proves that the Samsung Camera is just a number and Leica and Sony are masters of the craft. Each year, Huawei also shows evidence of who the father really is and who the sons are
@Nilab Nangarhari Maybe I just sound realistic, because realistically every year Huawei wins in the field of cameras ... I'm a fan of The Prodigy, Scooter, Carl Cox, and good horror movies ... And a fan of pieces of glass and metal? Never 😉
@@VibezVideo Google prodice softver with 12mpx, Samsung and Xiaomi produce number 108/144/190/300/3000/7000 mpx, and Huawei... Huawei produce real camera, because Leica is a not father keica is God of God for camera... Just like Canon and many others 🙂
Ben, love your detailed reviews. Currently have Pixel 4 XL for still pictures. Looking to get a more versatile smartphone camera. Love detail , dynamic range and natural looking pics. Between Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and Oppo Find X2 Pro which one do you recommend? Live in USA and need Google service so Huawei won't be in the mix. Look forward to your reply. Stay healthy and safe.
Hey Ben, off video topic but wanted to know which gimbal for I phone 11 Pro Max you recommend. I know you have at least on video and was gonna go look for but I figured I’d just ask you directly.
Good video 👍 Ben. Man I just don't get it. Why is Huawei getting banned? As a Samsung guy it's pissing me off because I want Huawei to be able to compete with all the smartphone brands. Without Google play services it's like fighting with one hand tied behind their backs. I will give Huawei their props they are the camera King's. I admitted that a while ago. Thanks for bringing us great content in these videos. Stay safe brother.
Samsung made Xoamis 108 sensor so its like your reviewing against Samsung. Samsung has a long way to go in my opinion in the camera Dept. I don't buy a smartphone for the cameras I buy Samsung device's for software experience. Your attention to detail on these videos is amazing.
Thanks Ben, great review. To me it looks like the Huawei is a little more saturated/yellowish, whereas the Mi 10 is somewhat cooler, blueish. Both great camera's. BTW: do you think the bokeh result could have been a little influenced in Huawei's advantage since it was taken at night-time? At which time the Huawei is superb!
@@MrKrueger88 I already wrote about S20 Ultra, personally I don't see iPhone as a good competition as it has worse ultra wide camera, unusable at night, worse detail in all conditions, much smaller sensor, so worse RAW, much worse night photos without night mode, slightly worse night mode, much worse telephoto camera, much worse natural bokeh it's really good ad daylight photos butbas Ben told in video, any phone these days can take good photos in these conditions, that's why it's not really comparable
I'm more surprised he didn't even try to go 5x which is optical on the p40 pro so we could really see if cropping with a large resolution can compete with pure hardware.
best camera comparison I've seen so far. by this comparison I consider the mi 10 pro. even though the p40 pro might be a little better. mi 10 pro has Google play store
Does the P40 Pro have a macro cam mode? My Mate 20 Pro has it and I can get very close shots like the Mi 10 Pro so it's kind of weird. Maybe that Cine lens doesn't handle macro shots like regular ultra wide angle lenses?
Its surprisingly close. But maybe you could've done some more tests like "selfies" videos and a video comparision a bit longer. But overall very good test, thanks for the content.
I got Xiaomi mi note 10 for 300$. So I think it's realy good for that money, I could buy a Samsung galaxy a71 for the same price. But I bought Mi note 10. Do you think it is a good choice?
This is a p40pro phone. Not p40pro plus. This phone does not have 10x optical zoom like p40pro plus. Please filming at night in a place.p40pro. Can use a maximum ISO 51200.
To me it looks like Huawei oversaturates the colors, but the reference images were also very saturated. How were the reference images taken? Were the colors really that saturated in reality?
Xiaomi mi 10 pro vs samsung s20 plus. Comparison and the ip rate please. Speed test and camera test. To help me decide which phone i will buy this 2020.
Since the P30 Pro RYYB sensor, Huawei really knocking everybody out of the night photo game. It's not just at night, Samsung's 108MP immediately suffers slightly bright condition, just like the first alley comparison scene, I can attest that with my Mi Note 10 and my friend's S20 Ultra... Which he immediately sell and replaced with P30 Pro! I still keep my Mi Note 10 though, can't beat the price/performance.
Very good test! Indeed I thought that huawei would perform leaps ahead , but not so it seems! Periscope seems to be a not an ultimate zoom lens in the end, interesting. I wanted to go for mi10pro but I hate curved edges, will wait till september maybe for a phone with same lenses but flat screen, if nothing else I guess I have to suck it then :(
The best review I've seen on you tube and i have seen many. I don't like p40 pro day time pictures of clouds. I've seen many pictures where clouds are to bright and washed out. If they fixed that issue then maybe it will not be the best at night shots though.
That's not a problem, I am feeling so good without Google, Google leaked some people's voice recording and Verizon spied on huawei, I don't trust American tech giants anymore
I hope the cat is still ... healthy.congratulations for the review ...... if you can try a clash between p40 pro and me 10 pro against pixel ..... in my opinion there will be surprises
On some of my xiaomi devices just like the v60 the images process with more saturation on the device in the gallery but process differently to computer looking faded or washed out a tad
Thank you 👍 for your honest job ! Like i say, why by a phone without Google inside. And i think the Xiaomi Mi 10 pro is more complet and more balanced. So for the price and quality i choose the Xiaomi, no hésitations. Thanks again for your good job 👍 !
p40 have a macro mode with the wide angle, you can activate it in plus and super macro, or it can be auto triger by AI, you can get close to 2.5 cm to your subject
@@govardhanposina17 that's very frustrating. I love taking macro photos, feel like I'll be going backwards in that respect from my P30 Pro. Guess the only way to do it would to buy one of those finicky attachment lenses... 🤔
@@Alexander0189 you could always get something like the Beastgrip Pro and get lenses with it,they work great for me,especially in macro scenarios, problem is they are pricey,if not expensive And yeah I agree,I love taking macro shots too, which is why I was considering getting the Redmi K30 pro(which has a phenomenal macro lens on it,better than any macro lens on any smartphone out in the market at this moment) before being told that only the zoom edition had OIS.
On 10X zoom part. Huawei P40 Pro+ will be winner due to X10 Optical Zoom while P40 Pro only got X5 Optical Zoom. But Huawei P40 Pro+ will be more costly.
@@bensgadgetreviews I beg to disagree. If one photo is blurry due to a shaky hand and one somehow isn't then don't you think that's an unfair comparison? i thought this is a camera test in general and not a stabilization test per se.
you are the best, you make video camera comparison more detail then other youtuber, and i am impressed with the xiaomi phone, iwish the p40 pro is the p40, and the p40 pro is p40pro+, i hate now because their naming is following stupid samsung naming
Huawei is already doing that in p40 pro, According to other reviewers.. They turn beauty completely off now.. And xiaomi, I think they are off too... Because i'm using a xiaomi device.. And beauty can be turned off completely..
@@bensgadgetreviews Yes, but is MI 10 PRO camera 2.5x better at 999 EUR price in EU? I know MI 10 PRO has better internals overall. But at least when it comes to camera i dont see big difference. In fact MI 10 PRO is missing dedicated macro lens which Note 10 PRO has. :)
@@SamSam-hk7jh Snapdragon 865 costs between 70-80 USD, dont know where you seen 300 USD! :) There are plenty of MI 10 cost analysis around. :) Good breakdown is here www.techinsights.com/blog/xiaomi-mi-10-teardown-analysis
What a bummer that Huawei doesn't have Google services... I would already have it if it did, in this case I have to go for Xiaomi or Samsung (only bcs of high refresh rate display), otherwise I would buy an iPhone.
