You have two of the best offensive players ever plus a great coach and the greatest spot up shooter ever. That pistons defense was solid but, their offense was atrocious. You can have a solid defense but, if your offense is subpar then you're out of luck. There have only been a scant few teams that have won the chip with a subpar offense. The only exception for an all time defense winning multiple times are the 60s celtics who had far and away the best defensive player ever. They were having defensive seasons that were minus 8-9 which would literally be the equal of 20+ in today's game. Even with that, Bill Russell is arguably the best player of all time and the pistons dont have anyone close to that. The Warriors win in 4 games they sweep in either era. Also I'd like to point out the seven seconds or less suns gave the pistons trouble routinely.
