Cameroon's President cancels trip to Anglophone region amid tensions

We start in Cameroon, where President Paul Biya cancelled a campaign visit to the separatist stronghold region of Buya, late on Wednesday night. Tenions in Anglophone regions are escalating ahead of Sunday's elections. The cancellation of the rally means that no presidential candidate will visit the conflict-ridden English-speaking regions of Cameroon to solicit for votes before the polls. CGTN's Saddique Shaban reports from Yaounde.

As an African, i feel for the Ambazonians. The are like people without a country if your government is run in French and everything is in French. That's not right. They need to be independent that's the only way or they will be treated as second class citizens for the rest of the life under Paul "old man" Biya. All africans should support the Ambazonians.

Those from de anglophone regions were requesting better governance n de end of deir marginalisation as a minority.hence they requested a federal form of Gov't so dey can manage deir affairs.but de govt rejected it sayx federation was a taboo.the reason 4 all the violence now is cus de govt treated civilians n peaceful protest leaders v badly n brutally dts y dey suddenly changed from federation to secession seeing that dey will never be treated any better evn if the country was a federal state.

Africa,africa who curse this our mother continent,Paul has been in power for 37yr still nothing to show for it,he only shows up during electionering period,then goes for an holiday in France for three yrs,the colonists France have changed there leaders routinely, while in Cameroon they just want Biya to be in power till death.
