@@Mymumi He won't retire. Macron and the French people will never allow that. Through him, France has access to the country's reaches while the local people are poorer. If you attempt a coup against Biya, you'll be up against the French army itself.

There are people who depend on Biya being in power to survive. Their lives and sources of income are built around Biya, being president. And these are the people that will do everything for him to stay in power until he dies. It is the same thing in other African countries. Remember, in Africa, there is no FREE MONEY, TRIPS, JOBS, etc. for relatives outside the power circle. Very few people thrive outside politics in Africa, unlike in US, Europe, etc. That is the problem of Africa.

If you want peace in Cameroon solve the anglophone crisis not by military action but by sitting on the table.Biya will not have a legacy until he solve the anglophone crisis peace without further share of blood.
