my camren theory (sorry if it's kinda confusing): they first became best friends and after a while they started having feelings for each other, secretly. they didn't tell anyone and they didn't really see it that way but they were in love. I don't think they ever kissed or confessed their feelings for each other tho. then people started to find out and they started feeling awkward around each other cause they were trying to like ignore that they were in love, but with people finding out they'd have to deal with it and talk about it, so that made everything awkward between them and they slowly stopped being that close and stopped talking and being cute in public, hoping people would forget about camren and hoping they'd forget about it too and move on. but honestly I think they still love each other, they're not in love like they used to be, but they still love and care for each other a lot and that's something that won't ever change
i think this is the most accurate theory to sum up their story. Ether I don't think they are/were in a relationship but it's possible that something between them actually happened. like they probably kissed once or twice but then they pretended they were just friends, maybe thinking that was only a moment and they didn't want things to become weird. although that, it happened. they were forced to stay away from each other bc they were afraid of the camren comments. I really think Camren was real. They used to have such a beautiful bond, always complementing each other and holding hands. The way they used to look at each other you could just see how much love they had for one another. Then suddenly they barely talk, all of it gone. You could see the tension in the other group members. They would keep distance from each other. Ughh really it just breaks my heart because this could have been one of the most amazing couples 💜 Lauren seemed to hurt over it more as well.

Here's what I think. I think that they were times when Lauren or Camila felt something towards each other. Especially Lauren. Lauren might be denying it now, but she can never give a good explanation on why she looks at Camila the way she does. I think there were times where while she was looking at her, she questions her sexuality. That point of her questioning might've at least happened at one point. It might not be as strong as it was before but I know that in the deepest part of my heart that Lauren at point did question her sexuality. Same goes for Camila too.

Imagine having to discover not only yourself but also your feelings for someone else that you never expected to meet and yet you find out they live so close to you that you can’t figure out why you didn’t run into each other. Now imagine meeting that person in a competition where the odds of winning are against you, add on top of that getting put into a group that without you two wouldn’t have been as popular as they are now, I love all the girl but without Camren 5H wouldn’t have become who they are today, they are still relevant today because everyone wants them to reunite and come back, that’s mean they made their mark, now imagine having to spend so much time together that those feelings are bound to explode, the good and the bad, now on top of that you have to figure all of this out publicly, out in the open where every moment is being captured.
