Wonderful movie and even a better book. Deeply touching... the actors played their roles beautifully, as if they were made for them. Hard for me not to mention about Robert Taylor's exceptional beauty... breathtaking!

Sydney Prescott Same thing with the news in those days as well, before the movie started sometimes they would play these things called newsreels which showed narrated clips of what was going on in the world at that time-it was essentially the forerunner of the evening news we have today only you had to go to the movies to see these. But back then it was more common for folks to go to the movies once or twice a week.

Adore Garbo,and have loved film to this day , then l saw the opera La traviata by Verdi ,an open air theatre in Tenerife at an abandoned casino then l remembered Alaxandre Dumas novel the lady of Camellias 🙏
