Have to say Stephen, I love your energy and outlook on life. These daily vlogs are a really useful way of seeing what the day-to-day life on the Camino is like, and have helped persuade me to go and do it next year. Buen Camino!
It's funny, when we were there in Fall of 2016, my sister-in-law and I talked about starting a 'Princess Albergue'. We would have killed to get our grays covered and a pedicure. However, I'd love a good pour of Guinness! Buen Camino!
Greetings from Toronto, Canada. My wife and I have been watching your vlog since about Day 5 after stumbling on it. It's been wonderful watching you progress and we hope the camera hasn't been too much of a hassle for you. Buen Camino!
Greetings from Ireland. The thing I found strange and annoying on my camino was that every day between 3 and 4 everplace would close for their siesta. That would have been grand if they actually opened again but most places like restaurants wouldn't open til about 8. Shops would close down for hours during the day. Think the only things that dont close are pubs and bars. One day I was in a town and it was about 2pm and literally every place was closed. Nothing open until 5pm. I got so mad I said to one of my camino hiking buddies no wonder the economy in Spain is in the shits. They literally are loosing out on loads of revenue from tourists because of their stupid siesta that lasts hours in many areas of Spain.
