We are facing a mountain stage. We go through a spectacular beech forest for several kilometers. We walk by an old medieval road while we change valley: we leave the Baztán and enter the valley of Ultzama / Ulzama by the meadows of the top of Belate Mountain. Here we will find standing stones and barrows. Well before we crown this port we pass by the "Venta de San Blas", point where there was formerly a hospital for pilgrims. And once we start down the new Valley Ultzama we will find Belate monastery, which was also a hospital for pilgrims in the thirteenth century. Only Romanesque church remains. A new beech forest leads us to Lantz and from here to Olague.
