Oh dear Nadine,.. you brought back so many memories .. I walked that path on May 17th 2022 , from Carrion de Los Condes …. But at 72 , need to stay for the night at Terradillios De los Templarios for the night …. And I stayed on the paved road to get into Sahagun and then realized I missed those sort of Halfway Gateway with two statues outside Sahagun, and had to go back to see them.. what a delight that was.. but oh my,… you walked 40 kms,.. jeez…. Why not you can walk when you are young.. you bring memories and make a wee bit envious.. 😂.. love your videos , your enthusiasm , your smile .. wishing you the best ,safest and enjoyable Walk on the Camino. Buen Camino love ! Cheers ! 🇨🇦

Thank you so much! I'm glad this brought back memories- the Camino is such a unique and special experience, isn't it? Sometimes long days are very hard, but when I feel strong, it's almost as if I can walk forever... and those afternoons when I've already walked a great distance but my legs feel strong, I just feel so alive, and I want to hold onto that feeling as long as I can.

Nadine, love your videos. Am so happy you are walking again. I have walked two Camino Frances, 2015 and 2017, and dream of doing so once again. I will be 71 y/o if I can make it happen next year. I had to laugh to myself during your last video when you said you forgot your hat. I too lost my hat in 2017 and I was miserable until I finally bought another in Triacastela. I loved my lost hat!! Stay strong and keep posting. Buen Camino Nadine!!!

I know, I bought my lost hat before my very first Camino… I couldn’t believe I was so careless to leave it behind. But now I have a nice memory of this new hat, bought ON the Camino!

Outrunning a horde of Italians. Had the same feeling on my Camino ;) Love them to bits but they can be overwhelming in large groups.

Haha, this is exactly it: each one, individually, was great! It was all of them at once, that big big group, that got so overwhelming :)

Always fun to catch episodes of your Camino. Yeah, going with how we feel is often the best way to go. Adventure on and Cheers!

I agree, but sometimes I can lose touch with my intuition and feelings. (Getting too much in my head) So it’s something I keep practicing and practicing in the Camino 😊

Hey, Nadine! 39.2 kilometers, that's a lot!...Three more kilometers and it would be a full marathon. The landscapes and villages look idyllic... Be well and enjoy!

I know, it was a long day! But I felt so good, and with a nice and long lunch stop, it didn’t feel so bad (plus, the walking was flat, which helps!) Just missed out on that marathon distance, you’re right…

Love your stories! But to understand it well: these stories om You Tube are a view in the past? You are already done and at home again?

Yes, I know it’s a little confusing, but I walked this Camino over the summer, June/July (I put the dates in the video description). I really wanted to post more in “real time”, but it was too difficult!

Which season is better for walking Camino France?
@NadineWalks
@NadineWalks 2 года назад
I think it all depends on what you're looking for (and also the time you have available!). Spring and fall are really popular (in particular the months of May and September), and I think those are really nice months to walk. But June is really great, and I always walk in the summer because that's when I can get time off. It can get hot then, but unless it's a bad heatwave I really don't mind!

The village at 1:22 is Calzadilla de la Cueza. It's a hard name to remember, granted!

Once I get several days into the Camino, it's so hard for me to remember the names of places that I'm passing through... even the names of places where I stayed!!
