I think that the solid would do great with the right foreground and/or background. I know the colors you are talking about. Hunted Coues there a few years ago. I feel like solids are something that you would want to work the shadows with more that rely on shape breakup that a pattern would provide. Anything in the open (patterns or solid) is just a dead giveaway for human shape. A solid may take more awareness to be unseen but can be just as effective if there is no moment detection. This is a fair statement. There are to many factors that I cannot reproduce with digital filters to get a real representation. Yes, the brighteners will wash out most of the pattern design if they are used. I did put a disclaimer on the single videos that it is not a real representation. I will keep trying to work towards a closer representation however I am not sure I could ever simulate it and would really have to capture true images from a device in those locations with each pattern and background (would could prove to be costly).
