We liked Fudpuckers as you saw. So it use to be better? , I can't compare because we only ate here this time and not long ago. Funny you should mention McGuire's had a friend get disappointed we did not eat there and through it on the video as number 1. He swears by that place, his staple restaurant there. We will defiantly try McGuire's in August this year and I'll make a review on it! I kind of kick myself for not trying it! So back to Fudpuckers what changed that makes it not as good? the food? Service??? You got me curious.

well the original location was on Ft. Walton beach in the building that is now AJs oyster bar. The food used to be much better. Portion sizes are much smaller, (as with just about anywhere these days) and the general atmosphere was better. Used too be that people would staple dollars on the walls and ceilings writing stuff like where they're from and the date. I was told that the fire marshal was the reason that had to change and now they can only allow it in certain areas. Once they opened the Destin location it feels like they're straying away from being just a restaurant and going more towards an entertainment venue. Its really a shame too because my entire life growing up my favorite part going to Florida was a trip to fudpuckers and getting a new tee shirt. Next time youre down there youve gotta try Mcguires, and dont forget to get a 1 cent bowl of bean soup. Id also recommend looking up a place called The Red Bar in Santa rosa beach. Its a bit of a drive, but a must try place IMO. @@GlampReview

Wow that's a big down grade! Well I see why you say its not what it use to be. I'll mention this in the next review video August this year. That's very useful information. I can see the entertainment part I agree it does appear to be an entertainment venu with a restaurant attached with the venu being the main attraction. Being that we never knew the origin we liked it because its different and the food we got was good, or at least mine was I cant speak for Tonya, she likes about any hamburger and chicken fingers. Wish they never changed it from what you say. McGuire's is definitely on our list. Tonya will definitely get a hamburger! I may try a steak and then taste her hamburger. Thank you for your input, people like you will help us do better in our documentaries! Besides the Rd Bar, anywhere else you recommend in that area to be a must do?

only other one id personally recommend would be Caffe Itailia. Its a little hole in the wall Italian place in Ft. Walton that's never disappointed. @@GlampReview

Yea we stayed 11 days. We planned on not eating out that much but it was just to hot to grill out at the camper. I grilled out a few days and even with turbo fans the heat was brutal. Fud puckers was the best. Were head back in august again, hopefully it wont be as hot as it was in this video, we are going to cover the fud puckers alligator show next time. We just drove around looking and found that. It looked cool from the outside. We found Gulfarium by accident by just driving around too, thats is part 3.

Captain Dave’s is usually fantastic! I imagine the AC situation kind of killed that trip though. Pompano Joes is really good in Destin also.
