In today's slideshow, I'm testing out the Camp Snap screenless digital camera. I downloaded the black and white mode, thinking it would lend itself well to Street Photography. These images were shot just before sunset to assess how the camera performs in lower light conditions.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the concept of using a screenless camera. For me, it brought back the excitement reminiscent of waiting for film to be processed. All the images presented are straight out of the camera, unmodified.

everyone seems to miss what this camera set out out accomplish, so it's pretty cool to see people show it off for what it is. Then get attacked by photography nerds with better vintage tech, and it's like yeah good for you and all of your cameras this is just fun as hell for 65 bux.

I totally agree. I'm sure it won't be long before CampSnap becomes the next viral camera. When people use it they get it.

The confusion on the guys face when i started taking pictures of him with what looks like a kids camera. Very kind of him to let me shoot his portrait and thanks for the comment.

For a cheap camera it's pretty nice for capturing moments and composition. Love your shots you got

Great work ! I've been doing photography since 1987 with film, and then digital from 2004. I've always liked the idea of seeing what can be done with the simplest and cheapest cameras. The last film camera that I thought about buying was the 'Cosmic Symbol' 35mm (in black). This digital camera reminded me a bit of that.

Sounds like pretty much the same as my photography path. Started on 5x4 and 10x8. Favourite film camera of all time I shot with was a Pentax 6x7. My favourite digital camera now is the Fuji XT4. How about you?

Wondering so for this camera is there a setting for black and white and for regular

So you have to manually set the color you want to use by installing them individually. You can only use one at a time. No quick switching between them. Currently there is only 3 profiles. STANDARD / B&W / NOSTALGIA

How does that focus ?
@Ces1um
@Ces1um 3 месяца назад
It’s a fixed focus camera. So pretty much everything is in focus always unless u try to do very close up shots. Similar to a GoPro that way

Nice photos. Not sure it's any better than my $20 kids cam though.

Thanks. Camp Snap was originally designed as a kids camera so I'm sure it's pretty much the same. The draw to this for me is the lack of screen. Of course it has many limitations but it makes you shoot in a different way. Have you been out shooting with your $20 camera? Always good to experiment.

A better lens & bigger sensor and a button that actually files when you push it, I would give it 5 stars. Right now it's 1 star

It is what it is for the price point. For people with deeper pockets I'd highly recommend the new GRIII HDF. Better lens, bigger sensor and no lag at almost 20X price of CampSnap.

@@travelandstreet yes but 100000x better image quality. I have both Lumix and Sony pocket cameras that are far superior. I bought my RX100 for nearly the same price as the Campsnap

@@stayuntilforever not everyone needs better image quality, sometimes the image is just the image. I love what campsnap is doing here with this.

@@HellHatch666 have you tried one? I've shot hundereds of images with it over the last 5 months and not one of them has been good enough. My disposable 35m cameras are better, my 20 year old 4mp kodak easyshare is better, actually every camera I've owned over the past 25 years is better. I love old digital and analogue cameras. I got my house covered in big prints taken with them. The Campsnap prints are almost not useable. I love the idea of the camera. But for me it's been a waste if time and money, great for kids though.

Or..hear me out…get a better camera? This is purely for the nostalgia and vibes. Kinda defeats the purpose.
