@@CapnNemowho in their right mind is going to risk a possible fight out on the middle of nowhere? You have absolutely NO clue who those other people are or what they could possibly be capable of. Obviously they can't read and blatantly disregard the fire ban signs, so talking to them would probably go in one ear and out the other. I love keyboard warriors like yourself, as you and your asinine comments are quite humorous.
You did the right thing. One day while I was working in a one of the national parks I was going around checking campsites during a fire ban. Went by a site and smelt smoke but there was no visible sign of a fire. Came back later with still the same thing and discovered that the campers were burning a fire just along a hill behind their camp site. They left the fire still smoldering under a tree, but not just under the tree canopy, there was a small area kinda dug out but it was surrounded by roots of the tree almost under the trunk. When the Conservation Officers and Warden came to inspect it they were livid.
Thank you so much for reporting those dopes having a camp fire. I had neighbors in a highly populated area the other year when we had 40 degrees in Vancity and they were burning their landscaping debris, in their backyard, with lots of sparks flying. Had to report them 3 times! The whole neighborhood could have gone up in flames. There's idiots everywhere and they ruin so many things for so many.
Thank you for doing the right thing. It’s the responsibility of ALL OF US to follow fire restrictions and all other laws. As an Oregonian I would’ve done the same exact thing.
Integrity is lacking in this world.... Everyone thinks they can do anything they want... break any laws... It's so sad. Thanks for doing the right thing and reporting them
As a fisherman, brotha it’s never too late to pick up a pole and start. Especially on remote lakes you generally don’t need anything crazy sophisticated like the over fished spots. I swear the fish learn what lures are and out in the sticks the fish hit out of curiosity. Give it a shot man! 🤙🏼
I am totally with you on your comment, I couldn't stand in front of that lake and not have a line out. Not after seeing a ring in the background 😊 keep that line tight.
It's a tough decision to make, but See Something, Say Something is our only chance for a better world. Love is " an action." Tough love, at times, however a sincere love. For all you know Chrome, you may have saved lives. I give you props for doing the right thing. Thumbs up and love from S. California.
Glad you reported them Chrome. Not only could they cause a fire, but they put others in danger when they have to go in to fight the fires. Thanks again!!!
Thankyou Chrome for doing the right thing! Terrible that these people feel so entitled that they ignored the signs! Hopefully, it will be followed up by authorities, and they will get a fine!
I'm a solo van lifer. Female And I ripped up one side and down the other side to two , lb250+ guys and 170 lb me..out them I'm thier spot and MADE THEM PUT IT OUT!! WTH DIDN'T U PUT IT OUT, CHROME???
@@MelH-jg9jqbecause since you are a woman this guys wouldn’t challenge you, but they would definitely challenge another man. Chrome did the right thing by leaving and reporting them to the authorities. Plus you’re very lucky those men had respect for a woman. If they didn’t you could’ve ended up in a serious situation.
So happy you reported them ! I have learned not to directly approach people because of the crazy world we live in but back in the day I would have walked right over to them and let them know that there is a burn ban and put the fire out . What idiots 🙄! Hope you enjoy your night 🌙 😎✌️✌️ Smooches for Cruzie 💋 🐾 🦴
When you left the site, you backed into long dry grass and parked. With a hot catalytic convertor, you are just as likely, maybe more to start an unintentional fire. Just something to consider as it's something that we see on occasion.
Chrome I'm glad you reported it we also have idiots in the US that do the same thing if they want a campfire go where all the fires are don't cause anymore of land or life be safe out there my Canadian brother
Chrome thank you for reporting that. I live in Arizona, USA we are under a fire ban as well, I report campfires as well in my van all the time. Great video you truly are a lucky man!
Thank you for reporting them. I live in the Crowsnest Pass and wildfire is a huge risk here. People just don't seem to think that fire bans include them 🙄😕
I'm up here just outside Jasper 💔🔥 HOW CAN PEOPLE BE SO CRUEL??? THANK YOU for being a true HERO & REPORTING THEM CHROME🙏You have probably saved lives❤
Chrome Thank you for the report. That’s crazy that people would think that they were above the law. Great job. I loved the drive so beautiful. Thank you for allowing me to travel with you. ❤❤
Hey chrome, that was a beautiful spot. You did the right thing though I can’t believe that the signs are right there when you pull in and you know it’s fire season right now in Canada and US. Hopefully they went to check it out and they put that fire out. thanks for sharing. You guys. Be safe out there.🇺🇸♥️👍🙏✌️🐾🏔️🚐🇨🇦
It sounded like the guy on the phone called it the RAT LINE, lol. Glad to see you being proactive to doing your best to prevent another forest fire from starting.
Dude that's insane, I would leave and report them 2, apparently they can't read signs or don't respect nature one or both, tx Chrome 4 reporting that, we need more wonderful people like you and your whole crew of friends
@@jamesireland9188Not only are they idiots, they are just plain lazy. Fire ban information is not hard to find. So don't stand up for people who obviously can't be bothered
@@chawealAn elderly couple in the country I live in spoke to a fellow camper about something and the elderly couple ended up dead and their campsite burned. Took investigators about 2 yrs to find the guy that killed them.
No offense, Chrome, but it probably isn't any smarter for you to back your van into dry, high weeds @18:19 where the hot exhaust could smolder the grass and a light wind could turn it into a fire, than the campfire they built.
When chrome broke his glass French press carafe, I was going to recommend a stainless steel one. I have two - one for home and one in my camper and it’s great because it’s double walled so it holds the heat longer and will withstand a fall to the floor. Glad to hear see that Chrome found it.
Bodum makes a beautiful French press that you can use for tea, hot cocoa, and cold drinks. It's double-walled and keeps drinks hot and cold relatively long.
LOVED the Whats Up Weirdo’s yell!! And you did the right thing to report them. You are better than me though, I wouldn’t have been able to not say something to them as I left.
i used to work in fly in fishing camps and fought 2 fires by boat and on land and had burning embers raining down and was eating thick smoke.. you did exactly the right thing. if i remember right there has also been 3 deaths to our brave forest fire fighters and two lost air crafts (choppers).
Controlled burns would help get rid of the underbrush that catches so easily-- they also help get rid of invasive species and would help decrease the chance of wildfires. But people setting up campfires during burn bans are not doing anyone a favor.
18:00 Bro, you needed to say something to them. Dont just walk away from it. Thats the equivalent to seeing a crime and instead of trying to interject you just watch and film it.
@@Z1ldjian2785 Bro, he is in the middle of nowhere by himself and you want him to start some conflict with strangers??? He is not the police dude! Dont make suggestions that could endanger him while guilt tripping him too! No bro! Just stop! Ps I am from Valemount BC and I am a veteran wildfire fighter. Leave him be because he did the right thing! ❤
Yeah that's messed up they completely disguarded the rules of regulations of not having a fire but they did it anyways to spite the signs that are put up around the area and good for you Chrome to report them for this heinous crime it's illegal for them to light a fire because of the fires that Canada has suffered over the years including this year and I hope they get justice for their actions
I was accidentally one of those douche bags a couple weeks ago in California. I wasn’t paying attention and forgot that it’s like that every summer. A ranger came up to me and talked to be and luckily I didn’t get a ticket but it was definitely a reminder.
Chrome... im an old punker dude. i seen the anguish you were dealing with reporting them. you dont want to rat but you have to when folks are fn it up for the rest of us. a shit situation for you to have to be in. cheers for doing the right thing.
good to report them but why didn't you just tell him politely that there is a ban and see what he says? if he gives you a problem and doesn't put it out, then leave and report.
Good for you Chrome. RAP line sometimes takes a bit for a response, you called the right people. I have a friend who just left to go and fight fires. A-holes like that should be banned from the backcountry. Rock On Cruze, you're a rock star! And I guess you are pretty cool too Chrome. Cheeeeers 🖖😎🤙
It’s Mon morn and wish I was anywhere but home. Got the itch to camp but in the southern US there’s nowhere close to camp to escape heat and mosquitoes. Guess I’ll just clean out the frig😅
If you live near Chattanooga Tn. There are some wonderful places to visit near here. I just got back from the Cherokee national Forest. There is a small campground called lost Creek. It is epic
