So I'm new to crochet, like only started actually crocheting anything a few days ago. I worked on the first hexagon for 10 hours before I realized I was pulling the yarn too tight and it was ruffling a lot. So I frogged it and started over. Worked on it for 3 hours before I realized I was being an idiot and doing the chain 3 in EVERY space, not just in the designated corner spaces... So I'm now ONE hour into doing it correctly and it's looking really good so far! Listen to the instructions carefully everyone! I thought I knew what was happening so I slacked off and didn't listen properly and wasted 13 hours 😂
Join me in creating this super cool and absolutely beautiful Campfire Cardigan. Pattern created by Jess Coppom with the Make and Do Crew, she has created a very easy to follow cardigan that is also easy to adjust to fit any body type and size. There are size suggestions but I highly recommend you use a measuring tape and create to body size rather than suggested rows and rounds. Especially after working with a different yarn type and noticing that even though the yarn is the same size it definitely did not create the same same gauge for my stitches. Once you make one you will definitely be eager to make another in a different color so that you can wear this cardigan all the time. Can't wait for you to begin! I.love this and can't wait to make it. Just one thing, the sewing of the hood didn't make the video. But thank you for doing this for us. I can't wait to try this out!
I just started making mine tonight and I just can't put it down. I haven't crocheted much since I was really young. I would sit and watch my Mom make sweaters for me. About a year ago I got back in it and I'm so glad I found you because you explain things better than any other I've watched. It's just your technique, you are amazing, thank you for taking your time to help me when struggling.
I have watched many crochet videos. This has to be one of my favorites. You were so detailed. Down to the time that each section started. I don't know how to read a pattern but I can complete a project by sight. I appreciate the length of the video, the explanation of each stitch and the time you took to explain each step. I love it. Im definitely going to make one.
I just made this and it turned out SOOOOO good. I wore it to work today and people were blown away that I made it myself. Thank you for the EXCELLENT instructions. I just started crocheting five months ago and had no problem with this! You are the best!!
You are such a sweetheart. Encouraging the viewers. You do an amazing job explaining everything as well. Great video. So glad I stumbled across your tutorial for my first cardigan.
I don't know what to say. I am speechless. This is for far one of the most fantastic tutorials I have ever seen. You have really shown and explained all the steps .... I am so thankful for the time you have spend to make us understand the whole project from A to Z... I will definitely give it a try... Have a wonderful day...
Hi Ms. Tiffany, I did the second one for my husband and I will try to put pocket. Thank you Ms. Tiffany🙏😘🤗🩷🩷🩷. You’re an awesome teacher. But I just have to save this one because my short term memory is not good anymore and I love this cardigan you made. Since the sleeves are wide, I called my husband’s Campfire cardigan, a KIMONO for him. God bless you Ms. Tiffany 🙏😘🩷
Dang! I was waiting to meet up with you at the top of the hood and do the seam together, and you went right into the final border 😂 Mine is turning out more pointy than I'd like. I'm using a heavier yarn and a tighter stitch, though. Wish me luck on looking less Wizard-y when it's complete haha
Sorry about that Kayla. Hmm, next time turn the cardigan inside out and join the top together from the inside. When you flip it right that point won’t be so pointy. 😊. Hope that helps! 😊❤️🧶
I actually started making this after I watched the entire video.. I found it very hard to follow the original pattern so this is AWESOME!! You have the gift of teaching. This is by far the best video I have watched on how to do this pattern. You take your time, but its not super long... and plenty of details on the " tricky" parts of how to make a garment that will fit!! Starting now! thank you! I have become a follower of. your channel :)
I am so happy that my tutorial was helpful enough to make this project look do-able for you. That is my whole goal is to make crochet make sense. I am so excited for you to make this cardigan Sharon! Thank you so much for your comment. 😊🧶❤️
Thank you. Absolutely love this project. I've made 6 and all 6 cardigan are so beautiful. My oldest daughter, I made a pretty black with red. Gorgeous. A good friend I made a beautiful forest green with a few mixed colors. Also Gorgeous. Two for my oldest granddaughters. Brown with tan, and the other one is yellow with white. I just finished an all pink for my youngest granddaughter. Thank you for guiding us with the measurements. I'm making my younger daughter a beautiful aqua color. I just need to do the good and the border and all done. I just love this. So easy and quick to make. Thanks again
Gorgeous shawl. I have to learn this. It may not be right away, but I will. Just have to watch a few more times till I feel comfortable crocheting alongside with you. Thank you my beautiful teacher and God Bless you🙏😘🩷
I didn't want to make a cardigan 😂 I'm starting my 2nd one now thanks to you . The only video so easy even I can follow. It's hands down my favorite thing I've made so far . 🙌 I made tops and other types that just didn't come out right. But this... this is a work of art. All my friends and family want one. ❤❤❤ and they are fun to make... my new saying is " ok perfect " ❤❤
LOL. Oh my gosh. That is so funny. One of those things I look back on and am like "Why did I do that?" 😄😄😄 I am thrilled you have had such a great experience with this project!!! It is the best compliment when a friend or family member says they want something you made. 💖🧶🤗
Hi Ms . Tiffany, I just finished this project. My husband likes it so much and he wants me to make him one. Thank you so much and I just want you to know that you are my most favorite Teacher. I’ve watch so many here in RU-vid and you are the best. 🙏😘🩷🩷🩷🦋🌻
Wow thank you , for all the work you put into this and details you didn't forget anything - I thoroughly enjoyed watching and I plan on making 3 of them 2 for my daughters and one for me of course Thank you Tiffany I love your channel
I'm So excited by your video. I have been wanting to find a cardigan to make my daughter in love as a surprise. This fits the bill. Thank you for this and for the care you have taken to show stitches, etc. Thank you for your encouraging others. So excited to be subscribed to your channel.
Gorgeous❤ Something I want to do for myself...never made anything for me like most crocheters do😘 This is beautiful, and I trust you to get through it. God bless💙🙏💙
OMG!!! I dont know how I came across your channel but I did. You have some of the BEST crochet videos on RU-vid. I love that you are patient and explain EVERYTHING with clarity!! I am an advanced beginner and absolutely LOVE your channel. One of the BEST out there!!!!
I found your video super helpful as i haven't done a granny pattern in a while!! Later, i saw the original creator posted a tutorial as well but yours is sooo much more clear, and I came back! 🎉 Thanks so much!
I did 12 rounds on my sleeves (I did looser sleeves) and it left it nice and long without being so long that it fell off my arms lol. I also made a large and I’ve sorta made it my own as I’ve gone on. Thank you for making this pattern so easy to follow because omg so simple to follow. I’ve been working on the between dealing with my kids and it’s been so easy
This was such a detailed, helpful and easy to follow video. Thank you sooo much. I want the variegated, like you, but am trying to use up some of my stash so I went with the color change. I didn’t got by her pattern, just did my own thing. Also ended up weaving elastic at the end of the sleeves. I’m a larger lady and even though made the adjustments to make the arms not too big, they were still bigger than I wanted. Thanks again? From Texas!
I Love the idea of using elastic at the end of your sleeves!! What a great idea! And I'm glad you did your own thing. Taking a pattern and making it your own makes it so much more special. I would probably do what you did and use the yarn I have currently in my stash too. We often have some beautiful yarn that we just need a purpose for. Thank you so much for watching my Cardigan video and thank you for crocheting with me. 😊🧡🧶
Have been wanting to make this since I first saw it. Finally got the yarn needed and started it. I used the same yarn as you did in the tutorial in the color way heirloom. I’m almost finished making the first hexagon and having lots of fun with this project! Thank you for being so thorough throughout the whole tutorial! I really appreciate it. Makes it so easy to follow along. I love all your videos. Just wanted to share my love and appreciation for all you do!!!! Thank you 💕
It's finally done! 10 minutes before I go to work! XD Excellent video, I had a lot of fun to make the cardigan and I can't wait to show it to my coworkers!
love love love this sweater pattern...i made mine with variegated yarn (like in the video) and added some bernstein velvet starting in round 9 of a size large/x-large and then back to the variegated yarn to finish...thank you for your patience...your video was perfect...
I absolutely love this cardi!!! It is perfect for us out here in West Texas. We have a short winter, but fall and spring are always in that in between cold and cool temps. Can't wait to get it on my hook.
YES I seen this on tik tok and Pinterest and I adore it.. want to make it myself but am not well with understanding written pattern. I love you for this ❤❤❤❤
Omg beautiful. Wanted to drop a line n let you know I went to hobby lobby eastgate today and a lady made your cardigan it was so beautiful. She did it in rainbow colors with a black hood. I actually ran through the store looking for her just to get a picture and tell her how amazing it looked. She shared with me that the pattern was followed by you. She just made it longer. I wished I could of got her number. But kudos your work is amazing and so was hers
This is so cool! Thank you for sharing this with me Kimberly! I think it’s so special that you ran into someone who watched my video and made a project from my channel. Really shows the community aspect of crochet and the magic of RU-vid.
This is absolutely gorgeous I have to make this. My favourite yarn to use is Red Heart Unforgettable, my favourite item to wear is a cardigan or vest with a hoodie, this is a all win pattern for me. Thank you so much.
Shame on you, you just made my to do list longer. But this one I will bump it up one or two projects..I absolutely love it. I have crocheted many things and I am glad that my daughter-n-law loves what I make. Thank you so much.
Good afternoon Ms. Tifanny. I just finished mine, but not as nice as yours. I would love to show if you like.. thank you so much🙏😘🩷 You’re an awesome teacher..
