Reminds me one my best turkey hunts , got in hour b4 fly down on a new property, sat through an hour of thunder lightning and torrential rain , all my buddies got up and ran back to the truck , I settled in under a cedar for some protection from the rain , but got soaked to my skivvies , half hour after day light got blue skies and I made couple yelps and all the jakes and Tom’s gobbled over each other and ran to me , picked the biggest gobbler shot him 745 am and was home by 815 , then went 2 years after w out a bird , lol . Guess used up all my good luck on the morning

Funny thing, my father in-law is from the Ozarks and his owl hoot has the exact same haw at the end.

Have killed many birds in or right after a thunderstorm. Now that I'm getting a little older I just don't care about getting drenched over them anymore
