Campground Review: Cape Blanco State Park in Port Orford, Oregon

I spent 2 weeks at Cape Blanco State Park in late June/early July, 2021. I paid about $30/night for a campsite (water/electric).
NOTE: The dump station is closed. As of this writing, there is no definitive plan to reopen it. You can use the dump station at other state parks - the closest dump station is at Humbug Mountain State Park.

I lived there as a kid. It's always cold there,, unless you go up Elk River or Sixes River.

Cape Blanco State Park is wonderful. I just spent 2.5 weeks on the coast staying mostly in State Parks. This was one of my favorites. I loved it!

Thx for the Review! I just called one of the site rangers and he says the Dump Station is still closed for 2022 and will ‘likely’ stay that way until capital funding is available (no timeline). The Dump Station icon was ‘removed’ from the campground amenities list. The Chevon in Port Orford has dump station.
