Looks like there is a lot to see and do in and around that campground! Glad to see I'm not the only one making campground videos for people to check out! Great job! Like the info you included with yours!

I enjoy your campground videos too. I've made note of a couple we'd like to stay at along our travels.

I love the DC area for several reasons, but #1 on the list is the fact that our oldest son lives there. :-)

It is our #1 choice in the DC area. Our oldest son lives there so we go up quite a bit.

You have to be active or retired military or 100% disabled veteran. Some military campgrounds also allow government civilians.

We live just outside the base and have stayed at this campground many times. Unfortunately, it seems that a majority of the sites are turning into full time spots. From what we have heard, if you move to another site every 90 days, they let you stay as long as you want. Great for military families but not so good for those who want to stay for a few days because they now have very few transient sites. We’ve seen one motor home that has been there almost two years. Plus, those staying full time are storing their extra stuff outside their trailer and it detracts from the beauty of this campground. I realize that it’s super expensive to live in DC so I wish the base would make a campground just for full time military. Don’t want this post to be negative but just providing a realistic view. It’s a beautiful place to stay if you can get a spot.

Agreed! We were stationed in DC for 6 years and our oldest son & daughter in law still live in Northern VA. We try to get there to visit in the RV at least once per year and make our reservations for Fort Belvoir months in advance.

My husband is retired military, how long is limit to park your rv?
@ChickerysTravels

They vary, but most allow you to stay up to 6 months. Some, in higher demand areas like Fort Belvoir near Washington DC limit you to 2 weeks.
