Fair few gone over the side at the gare over the years and drowned . When the storms come in you get waves clearing the top of that lighthouse yet still people get too close and it ends badly .
Catching up after a 5 day weekend. We have not been to South Gare. We have heard there have been complaints but if they keep up the litter picks etc then it should be safe, Hope you told Bob that stick was to big,
Great vlog guys 🤗 We was there last week doing a vlog when the press turned up to question the locals about the vans there. It would be a shame if they closed such a beautiful place...🥰
Pd ports who own the land have since banned sleeping overnight and are currently in the process of installing an height barrier to stop the vans entering the area from paddy's hole steps upto the lighthouse gates, Pd ports were tired of all the complaints from visitors and police and also the 4 bins were constantly overflowing and bags thrown from the road to the bins were tearing with contents all over which was bad for the staff, Then the dog muck left everywhere and pee and poo was being thrown over the wall,, Then the caravans arrived and this was the final straw, I love the gare myself but the actions of a few have spoilt it for us all. Even drug dealing, cheap cigarettes and alcohol were being sold there, All of these things I have seen myself happening and I just knew Pd ports would not put up with this behaviour on their land for much longer and sure enough they finally pulled the plug on it so now we all suffer, The worst part is the people who are responsible for this will complain that park ups are getting rare, Finally I must also say somevvisitor's in cars were no better when putting rubbish under their cars before then driving off, I remember bumping into you in Scarborough and having a little chat which I enjoyed and even there they have stopped us between 11.00pm and 7.00am which is a great shame.
