We were there in Feb/Mar so we just paid there. There were no other campers where we were that time of year. If you go in the busier summer months, you might want to get a reservation ahead of time.
The camper came with “steps” mounted to the back. We’ve never used them for steps to get on the top of the camper, but they work great to hang trash and other things from.
