I have to agree with you about Cayuga SP. It is a funny setup, but I really enjoyed the area and would plan to go there again. I drove all the way around Cayuga Lake, what a trip. Camped there for 4 days and then went to Letchworth SP for 4 more days.

We’ve been to Letchworth and have a video about it, but it was when we were still new, so not very good. We’re going back there this year and will re-do the whole thing.

Loved watching your Cayuga video. We seem to visit a lot of the same places.lol.... we were in assateague and cape henlopen this summer as well. Our next video is focusing on the cayuga wine trail. Lol....big kids have more fun at playgrounds than the little ones.

We DO visit a lot of the same places! We’re headed to Michigan this summer and have been binge watching your videos to see what we should do!

Nice review 👍. No way that road was a two lane road and agree that the main road was very close. Weird location for a dump station 🤔. Nice playground...but not sure about the age limit 😂😂. Keep exploring y’all 🤙

Consider the Wonders can you imagine if 2 campers were going in opposite directions at the same time? Where do you even get off the road to pass? Thanks for watching!

Couple of questions; what time of the year did you camp? Early August? How was the water? Caugua is quite deep, so wondering if it was cold water. I also heard they have algae issues, closing the beach for swimmers? did you see any of this? How was the cabin location ? was it more secluded or same, near the road ?

+Len Ovo thanks for watching! We went for the 4th of July weekend. The water temps are posted on the entrance gate to the park and I believe it was high 60’s when we were there. Quite refreshing when it was hot out! We didn’t have any problems with algae and the beach was open. The cabins are definitely not secluded. They’re pretty much at the top of the hill as you drive up into the campground. Cabins 9-14 are better but close-ish to the road. More secluded from the rest of the grounds though.

@@CampingCompanions Thanks for the info. Your channel is very helpful. Because of your reviews, I'm actually thinking that Sampson will be a better place to get a small cabin/cottage this summer. I wouldn't have known about Sampson, if it were not for your channel. Thank You.

@@lenovo762 That, my friend, is the whole reason we do it! The cabins aren’t in a wooded area, but you will definitely be much happier with the accommodations at Sampson. They are newer, and not as rustic. Plus, they over look the Lake, where Cayuga, you have to drive out of the campground area and across the street. Thanks for your wonderful comment. You truly made my day. Amy

No Park Ranger!???! . The camp sites are VERY CLOSE. The campers were nice in the day, buy LOUD AT NIGHT. I understand people want to party and have a great time, but people come to camp sites for TRANQUILITY, and that's why there are 10:00 QUIET HOURS. We were up PAST MIDNIGHT dealing with ADULTS laughing, cars moving (short start/stops), doors slamming, generators running. WHERE ARE THE PARK RANGERS? I've never been to a park where there is no one patrolling at night, or at least checking for quiet hour compliance. It's you are a HEAVY sleeper or don't mind loud DISRESPECTFUL then this park is okay for you.

A bunch of the sites there butt up to a road too, which doesn’t help if you are a light sleeper. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your time there. Were you on the non-electric side? Generator noise makes sense if you were there.
