We camped there before the hurricane took out the trees. We were evacuated at 9pm at night due to rising waters due to excess rains. The bathhouse has AC which is nice in the summer. Thanks for the video, great job.
Thanks for sharing this excellent video! I'd also like to share there are several hiking trails including one from the Blue Hole Springs to the main campground. The Bluff Trail is most scenic, especially in winter, as you can see well out over the bluff to the Chippola River Watershed. It also passes a small cave (unlit, unguided) that you can walk through or use the bypass trail. There are primitive campsites near a horse coral just on the other side of the Blue Hole Springs. There are a few pavilions and a playground. There is a popular fishing spot at the Chippola River along with kayak rentals (to check out at the desk).
Hello, thank you for sharing all this information. I did hike the trail from the campground to the Blue Hole Springs and also hiked past the primitive campsites and saw the horse corals. I don’t believe I hiked the Bluff trail and it sounds very appealing. I hope to visit again soon. Thank you so much for watching!
@@Adventure-Mom thank you!!! How’s your Sanctuary… just did our first oil change today (low miles 4k but being a 2020 chassis needed it) anyhow sorry to ramble - hopefully your weekend is good
Hello, You are so welcome! There are so many state parks in Florida to discover and explore. I will definitely be visiting many more. Thank you so much for watching! Happy Holidays!
I do love traveling the USA and visiting new places and seeing new things. I am not sure if I have ever seen cave bacon but I have been in a lot of caves so chances are I have. Thanks for Watching!
I would hate to be in those caves if the power went out. Definitely carry extra flashlights! In any case, very nice videos. I’ve just discovered your channel as your hurricane Ian video popped up. Also, a great documentation of the hurricane. Thank you. PS- I’m in the Tampa Bay area, and need to seriously get out more. So these one tank trips in Florida are perfect for my son and I.
Hello DL, I agree it is a good idea to carry an extra light in the caves. Thank you for the compliment and I am Glad you found my channel. Thanks for Watching!
I live in Grand Island Florida, and really injoy it when you do video content like this, your channel is very interesting and some intro music or a theme song in the beginning would really make it perfect. Looking forward to seeing more Florida trips.
Hurricane Michael took out all of the trees in the campground. It was so thick that you could not see the other site. We have not been back since the storm. The nature center was my favorite spot in the park before the storm.
HELLO RUBY! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMPREHENSIVE AND VERY INTERESTING REVIEWS!!!👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏
Pretty good video but need to slow down and show the camp sites. That’s the main thing I wanted to see. Went by the camp sites so fast couldn’t see any site numbers
Question for you if you would, I noticed that you have quite a few shots where you are wandering the caves seemingly yourself and the camera-person. Does the tour offer a big of free range mobility about sections of the cave? Thank you.
Hello Greg, I found that during the tour the crowd stayed near the guide as he talked about each area. I was more interested in touring the caves without being with a crowd of people so I was walk ahead. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.
I am not sure if I was breaking any rules but nobody said anything and I did not go very far ahead plus I had a much nicer tour as I felt like I was all alone spelunking. Thanks for Watching!
