Cliff I am very sorry I was late telling you about High Knob Vista about 5 five miles south of there. The vista is like 300 degrees around High Knob. Instead of turning left to go to the vista go straight .Cross over Double Run Rd, go about 2 to 3 miles on High Knob Rd, turn rt on Forest Rd , which which makes a loop round High Knob 2050 ft elev. You can park all along the view or just drive around it. Anybody goes to Worlds End check it out. You see for miles.
I had to use hot coffee to make my instant oatmeal for a time , I got to liking it. I wonder if any one else does that. Skip a step and get caffene and food at the same time.
That is another beautiful spot in Pennsylvania. That's my home state and I do miss it. Thanks for sharing, Cliff. You selected great spots to highlight.
I share your sentiment, my homestate as well, but in my case, I live in NY about 45min. from where I was born in Erie. It would be easier for me to get to if I had a vehicle, so that puts a damper on things!
Glad you had a good night Cliff and the tent performed well that view was spectacular my father had oatmeal for breakfast every day of his life except during the war when only had k rations it's very good for you he lived 92 yrs and active to the end here we call it porridge Really liked this park beautiful
Gorgeous, Huge rock formations with beautiful Green moss everywhere. These will someday be fond memories for you of climbing thru the rock tunnels . Awesome camera work. Amazingly beautiful Vista . Dunking in the River water, WOW ! Cannot get any better. What an amazing camping day with all the birds serenading throughout the day. Just LOVE 💛 your camping videos . Your an awesome trailblazer living the way , so natural, most wish they could. 🌻
So glad you did not spring a leak. That rain was coming down. What a Beautiful adventure & morning after the rain. Thank you so much. This was an amazing adventure🥰
Real nice views. It reminds me of Kettle Creek State Park. I hope you do a video there. It has at least one really nice vista and trout in the shallow creek itself.
I was going to check it out myself last year when we went to Ricketts Glen but ended up not going due to being tired from hiking at Ricketts and then having to make dinner but I love the Rock Garden and for what it's worth your camera work there was just fine considering what you were doing at the time.
Thanks Cliff, I do appreciate your videos. After a rough day, I can sit back relax and enjoy nature through your videos. And on the weekend I can binge watch. I know I get behind sometimes but catching up is worth it. I love communicating with nature. I love hiking. Your videos are awesome. Maybe this year I can take more time to explore and enjoy the beauty around me. If not, I'll keep watching your videos. Take care.👍👌. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita.✌🖖🕯🦋🌠✌🏕♨️🚶♀️✨🙂👋👣.
Oh what a place. That vista was gorgeous. Loved the rock garden too. You are like a kid in rocks, so cute. Love the sound of rain on a roof it sends me right off to sleep. Looking forward to next video. Please take care and stay safe. Oh thanks for taking me along
Thank you for these wonderful videos! I love seeing what Pennsylvania looks like, since it was my mother's home state (southeastern area). I live in northwestern Massachusetts with Mt. Greylock in view, and find the mountains in northeastern PA resembling ours somewhat. Happy trails! "All who wander are not lost". God bless. Terry K.
Love this park! I want to come back and actually explore it better (had a 2 yr old the last time we were there haha!). That was a great tent test so glad it passed. Thanks for the relaxing video and the rain. Wonderful! 😊
For some Real Good camping head over to the Loyalsock State Forest. Just north of Hillsgrove has always been a favorite of mine. Almost forgot, make sure you stop in @ the Ranger Station and get a permit. Should still be free. The Loyalsock Creek is AmaZing! Keep on Wandering....
Bet that Vista is a really awesome sight when the trees are painted for Autumn! You're right - when you hear the name "rock garden" you think of a variety of succulents mulched with pebbles... not a garden OF rocks! Looks like a good place for kids, if they don't get stuck somewhere or break a leg in a crevasse. 😉
another awesome video, I bet you slept great I love sleeping through a storm as long as there is no wind involved, another beautiful view, thanks again for taking me along
We were just there last month for the first time. Really neat park. We did the loop on Canyon Vista trail and the extension. Was kind of dry when we went and the waterfalls weren’t flowing that much. The rock maze along that trail was really cool to see also.
Great video,...again. I have the same tent, but it has the built on screen porch. Nothing like camping in a t-storm, love it! It only sucks when your trying to pack up to leave. Glad you had a good time. 👍👍👍
The Black Diamond lights are great. I have a few older style lights (they can dim) which have traveled the world with me and have lasted for many years.
Next time you're there you need to go see the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania is that worlds end state park it's over 7 stories to the top. One heck of a hike to get up there
I loved this video! so gonna have lots to say lol I could see bear using those holes at the rock garden in the winter. Hot dogs would have been good added to those beans. That view was awesome! is that haze from the smoke from the fires out west? I'm in MI. and there's days it's really bad here. I'd have been setting in the middle of that river cooling off. I used to live on a river and loved setting in it when it was hot cause water was always cold, and just let it rush by ya. And I know I"ve said this before but...the sound on your camera is amazing! Picks up all the birds singin and the thunder rolling in.
You should get a two bedroom tent you can put a generader insude if it you can cook inside of it and put lanterns and your lap top and music and your cell phone two ok and put two air matterses together and bring plenty of supplies ok and extra clothes and blankets and food and drinks and shoes and jackets and Hats and first aid kits to ok
I was just at Worlds End In July. We went to the vista, but did not know about the rock garden. What a beautiful place! Did you pass the Mineral Springs waterfall along the road? Thanks for your fun videos!
Notice how most of the Mountains in PA are shaved off at the top they plateau, I was told this was because of the last ice age. The glacier shaved them down.
Love the rocks! LATER: dear Cliff, could you PLEASE 🙏 try to avoid plastic water bottles? 😟 they’re such a scourge… if enough of us didn’t buy them, maybe we can make a difference.
Just started watching - haven't gotten to any conclusion on whether your tent got wet inside. BUT it looks as though your footprint is sticking out from the tent itself. You don't want that. Those few inches sticking out will catch the rain and it will flood in-between your footprint and the floor thus opening up possibilities for moisture inside.
