Camping Gäsi is located on the southside of the Walensee not far from Weesen. A new reception was created in 2018 and a large parking lot is available for the numerous visitors. The campsite is located in a nature reserve and local recreation area. Every year the campsite has to be cleared to protect nature. You can relax on this beautiful sandy beach and enjoy the wonderful Mediterranean view of the mighty mountains. The campsite for tents, caravans and mobile homes is located in the forest and right on the lake with a sandy beach and children's playground , as well as fire pits. There are toilet and shower facilities as well as washing machines and tumblers. More and more seasonal campers are using the sun's energy by charging the on-board batteries with the electricity generated by the solar cells. This means that the lighting, water pumps and the charging of the numerous mobile phones can be used at night. A long sandy beach invites families with children to build sandcastles and bathe, or take a walk with or without four-legged friends on the shore of the lake. At the harbor is the Gäsibeizli, where you can rest and eat. In the Gäsihafen the boat owners have their sailing and motor boats stationed all year round and enjoy sailing on the Walensee in good winds or relaxing in the boat and bathing in the lake. At Gäsibeizli there is a children's playground with a slide, ladders, swings and sandpit, which is a delight for all children. With a regular boat or your own boat, you can take beautiful trips from Weesen to Quinten and to Walenstadt and some sights, such as the Weesen fountain or the Seerenbach Falls near Bettlis in the background, which are among the highest waterfalls in Europe, can be admired from a distance or up close. Every year on August 1st, the Swiss national celebration is celebrated with lanterns and a large August 1st fire with the families of seasonal workers, campers and tourists from near and far. It is a special experience for young and old to celebrate this festival together right on the lake.
